Kamilla, our chef was informative, attentive and very personable. She helped us make such easy yet rich flavorful Thai food. I liked that we got the option taste each food one at A time. The cooking class was everything I hoped for and more! We only had 3 tables which gave private feel which was perfect for my boyfriend’s birthday gift. However, one thing is that one of the participants turned out to be a live streamer and he was distracting. Chef and the class was perfect, but may be in the future, you pre-screen participants to see if they plan on bringing a full production. Otherwise, thank you for a wonderful experience!! This was my first cooking class with Cozymeal and it did not disappoint! It was hands down the best cooking class I’ve ever attended. Carole is an amazing host and teacher. We made Vietnamese spring rolls, Korean glass noodle stir fry and Thai sticky mango rice. My daughter and I learned about a variety of chef knives, how to hold chop sticks, food presentation, best ingredients and so much more. My favorite part was peeling a mango. The atmosphere was welcoming and super positive with an artsy vibe. Carole is an inspiring, passionate and creative culinary artist. Bottom line…so much fun. Take the class!

We had an amazing sushi cooking experience to celebrate my husband’s birthday. From the very beginning, they responded very quickly to messages and were always available and attentive. The experience was fun, pleasant, and truly special. I was very grateful for the opportunity to learn about the origins of everything and a bit of the history behind sushi, which made it even more meaningful. I would definitely do this again in the future and highly recommend it.

This experience was amazing. Chef Carole was very warm and a great teacher. This was my first cooking class and I learned so much, such as differences in knives, how to cut uniform vegetable, layer flavors, and general tips on better and more efficient cooking! It was really the conversations we had with Chef Carole that made this so special. This would be a great gift to anyone or for yourself!

We weren’t exactly sure what to expect, but it was an awesome experience. We made sushi with Kamilla and it was soooo fresh, tasty, and fun! We really enjoyed learning different techniques and trying so many variations of sushi. It was a great time (and a lot of food - go hungry)! The cooking space was nice, too.

I booked a session for my sister as her Christmas gift. We did the Asian Cuisine Class... Very fun and unique experience! Chef Mo was so kind and offered suggestions/feedback on what you do/don't like on your food. He explains why he does certain things when cooking and offers tips! Would definitely love to do again sometime. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! Chef Mo clearly loves to cook and share his love for what he does with people... You will not regret it!

This was such an amazing and sweet time. I took my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday and loved the set up and how fun and social Mateus was. He was patient kind and knowledgeable. Before I was a bit apprehensive because I thought it was in an apartment but it was such a cute and cozy set up. Would definitely recommend and I actually think the price is more than fair.

He made us feel right at home, it felt like a dinner party with friends but we learned so much about the art of cooking. He is an encyclopedia of knowledge in the culinary space. I would recommend this class to anyone who enjoys sushi! Chef Taka was amazing! He came fully prepared with everything we could possibly need. The amount of fish he brought was great! We had plenty enough for a whole second meal. The fish was fresh and tasted amazing on our hand made rolls and sashimi. This class was super fun. Not too difficult. But the chef made it amazing. So kind and encouraging. He really did a great job of teaching and explaining. Can’t wait to take more classes!

I made a reservation with Chef Pierre to surprise my girlfriend on her birthday and the whole experience, from beginning to end was delightful and fun! He tried a different menu than his typical class which made the experience even more special. My girlfriend does not eat shellfish or pork and he was able to accommodate with a very original menu. All the ingredients he used were authentic and he was kind enough to share his personal spices from different parts of the world. The menu was Asian-French infusion. For an appetizer we had his signature egg roll type cones with tuna, avocado, and signature sauce. We prepared a delicious green salad with soft and sweet beets, and for the main entree, a bed of french saffron rice with perfectly crafted layers of seasoned tuna, wasabi, Asian pickled vegetables and crisp seaweed on top. As an added note, each dish was carefully crafted using the full spectrum of colors! At the same time all the cooking and eating was taking place, he taught us a simple, yet delicious recipe for apple pie, which we later ate for dessert. My girlfriend and I truly enjoyed this experience, as the close one-on-one teaching was extremely helpful. Chef Pierre has great attitude and talent when it comes to teaching and food! We absolutely recommend it.

Chef Taka was absolutely incredible!! He was very professional, knowledgeable and so very nice. His sushi was amazing! I got this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend and now we can both say we really know how to make sushi! He taught us how to cut the fish, make sushi rice, the whole nine yards- it was great!! Also, you get more sushi than you could dream of and it's all so so good! My boyfriend loved it!! Such a fun night! I planned this experience for my husbands birthday. Chef Taka was amazing!! He was so friendly and brought ALL of the supplies to my house. I said he could use whatever he wanted from our kitchen, but he came equipped with it all on his own. Chef walked my husband and I through every step of the way. We were able to help with the prep, cut the fish on our own, make the rice and so much more. He answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Chef Taka for your next fun or special occasion. Thank you Chef! My husband said it was one of the best birthday gifts he's received.

Chef Taka was unbelievable! I set this up as a birthday present for my girlfriend and he definitely made it a an experience to remember. He came early to set up with everything we needed and made sure to accommodate all of our request so that everyone was happy. He even made a special vegetarian roll on the spot when he found out she didn't eat meat, but then made the most delicious special roll with Wagyu beef for me. All of the ingredients were super fresh and he was incredibly helpful in leading us through everything. He was very knowledgeable and taught us about why sushi restaurants do things certain ways. He also took pictures that he sent us afterwards, included an amazing salad and miso soup, and left us with plenty of leftovers after cleaning up. Overall, we were both very happy!

Chef Taka was amazing. He arrived early and had everything fully set up for the class right on time -- he brought everything from aprons to knives and cutting boards. We learned so much about all the prep that goes into sushi making and he made all of our favorite special requests. It was quite a feast and we had SO much left over, but we were all amazed at how much more delicious the sushi was freshly made than in any restaurant we had been to. Chef Taka was warm, gracious and very helpful and we will absolutely have him back in our home again. Don't miss this wonderful experience and delightful meal!

If you are looking to book a fun and educational sushi making class with an authentic Japanese chef, you should book with Chef Yoko. She is nice, very knowledgable and creates a fun cooking class environment. Her venue is centrally located in Downtown LA and not far away from all the happening in the city. Definitely a great cooking class that I recommend to anyone in Los Angeles. By the way, as a bonus, she also handed out Japanese ice cream that she had made which was divine.
