We signed up for the â€œThe Bearâ€ cooking class for a date night, weâ€™re big fans of the show and figured, why not cook like it? Chef Vivian and Chef Michi were great, super easy to talk to, really down to earth, and made the whole thing feel comfortable. We had some really good conversations with them about their cooking backgrounds, what food means to them, and even got some cool travel tips for their home countries, Peru and Japan. The whole night just felt really warm and inviting just like hanging out with friends who just happen to be amazing chefs. The class was a four course meal, and honestly everything we made was great, but the two that really stood out were Sydneyâ€™s omelette with the potato chips on top and the risotto. That omelette was such a clever idea, and weâ€™ve already said weâ€™re making it again at home. It was quite easy and I may be investing in a new kitchen gadget for the house, a Japanese tamago pan! And the risottoâ€™s something Iâ€™ve always avoided because it seemed like such a hassle, but the way they taught it made it feel totally doable, Iâ€™m actually excited to try it again. It was far less daunting than I thought. The after dinner, we got to play with Agar Agar to make some cool dessert pearls to top our ice cream with, we felt like a mix of a scientist and chef. What I appreciated most was how approachable it all was. The food looked and tasted like something from a nice restaurant, but nothing about it felt overcomplicated or intimidating. Nothing was too greasy or overly processed, just nice clean ingredients that made for tasty dishes. Iâ€™ve done other classes before where itâ€™s rushed and overly fancy and you walk out thinking, â€œWellâ€¦ not doing that again.â€ This was completely different, they showed us how to make impressive dishes that actually feel possible to recreate at home. And the little tips and tricks they shared really stuck with me, especially the tip about scoring mushrooms (we felt like pros) and not washing the flavor off before cooking. You get to cook and eat a full four-course meal, learn from two super talented chefs, and walk away with a fun memory youâ€™ll actually want to tell people about. If youâ€™re looking for a fun, cozy date night or just want to pick up some new cooking skills without feeling overwhelmed, I definitely recommend booking with Chef Vivian and Michi. It was relaxed, memorable, and just a really good time. Weâ€™ll definitely be back for another class.

The â€œFrench Bistro â€œ class was excellent. Chef Sam was knowledgeable and entertaining. The menu was delicious. The kitchen classroom was bright, spacious and well-equipped. We would definitely recommend this hands-on class and intend to sign up for additional classes.

Chef Ricky is super knowledgeable and passionate about his trade. Literally I felt like I was learning so much I had to take photos and movies to help remember it all. He has a great teaching demeanor and was patient with our questions The course is well organized and the location ( although I wish it was closer to st Pete) was very conducive to participating. We utilized many of his tools and had room to circulate allowing a true hands on experience We left with our stomachs full and our palates better trained to truly appreciate good sushi Highly recommend Herb James

The class we took was focused on making ramen from scratch. It was such an amazing experience! The instructors were super welcoming and made the class feel like a gathering of friends. We learned all about the culture of ramen while getting hands-on with the ingredients and making our own noodles. I cannot say enough about how fabulous of an experience this was! This was our second experience with Chef Ricky. We hoped it would be an equally exceptional experience. What a spectacular evening. Chef Ricky is a professional chef AND teaches his craft to others. He does these classes in his home, which a kitchen to die for! I had no idea what this type of cooking entailed, which was the purpose of my attendance. The menu was definitely gourmet while fairly easy to prepare, because Chef had already arranged all the ingredients and spices in our space. I would definitely attend another class with Chef Ricky in a New York minute! The other guests were fun to cook with too.
