Booked the class Secrets of Paella for 2 with Chef Joni in South Bay & Peninsula (Snail)
Chef Joni was an amazing teacher for our Paella for two class. She had everything laid out beautifully and even had a little snack area so we could munch while cooking. The first thing we made was Sangria, which was lovely to sip on throughout the class. She taught us new techniques for cutting veggies and also introduced us to new ingreidents we hadn't used before. She also made sure to capture all the moments for us, taking pictures, and really laying out her areas to be "instagram ready." We made paella but also a valencia orange cake which was so easy to make and tastey! The decorating of the desserts portion of the class was so fun! Our time with her flew by even though the class actually ran a little longer than scheduled! The result was amazing food and an amazing time. She even took us out to her garden to see the veggies she was growing. She was very kind and obviously passionate about her work. We had plenty of left over food and Sangria to take home. I highly recommend a class with Chef Joni!

What a wonderful and unique experience! Carly is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate. My boyfriend and I loved the hands-on cooking (we did the GF DF Italian class) and, of course, the delicious food. Along the way, Carly offered some cooking and preparation techniques that translate to everyday meals. We would highly recommend cooking with Carly :)

We had a great time celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday with John! His place was very cozy and clean- he was very welcoming and shared tons of funny stories with us. We took the paella class, John was an amazing teacher, and allowed us to be as hands on as we wanted. He showed us his garden which was bountiful with beautiful flowers, herbs and fresh fruits. We loved the experience so much, it was our first cooking class ever and it was definitely one of the best dates (and most unique) we had! Kudos to John and thank you John again for your hospitality!! Highly highly 100% recommend!

Chef Aaron was so gracious and nice. I am a notoriously bad cook but he gave us tips and let us try techniques without being pretentious or making me feel like the total novice that I am. We did the French cooking class and I definitely think I can replicate at least some of the things we cooked at home now that I have done them once. Highly recommended!

What an incredible experience this was. I have never taken a cooking class before but this certainly was a great way to start. Chef Lamia is not only an incredible cook, but a great teacher. I feel confident in my ability to recreate the meal my team and I made. I will definitely book another class with Chef Lamia! I cant wait to go back to her beautiful home.

I've done many cooking classes both personally and professionally and really loved Joni's style. She was so organized, well prepared and provided great guidance through the whole cooking experience. We connected earlier to make sure she was aware of the team dynamic and any special requests for drinks, allergies and such. As a result, she was prepared and managed all 9 of us really well. highly recommend her as an instructor. She's got lots of tips and tricks up her sleeve so you are sure to learn something even if you are a pro! Thank you Joni!

Chef Edison is great. Loved the class, and you will too. Just know, if you think you're done eating after making the rolls, you're wrong! I filled up a lot on those, and there was still maki, nigiri and hand rolls to make and eat! There was so much fish, I didn't know how to process it. Thanks Chef!

Booked the class Fresh Italian Fare with Chef Nonna in East Bay (West Alameda)
Me and my girlfriend showed up to Chef Noona home on July 6th at noon. She greeted us with the biggest smile, it was very welcoming. The menu was fettuccine Pasta with Alfredo sauce and a mixed green salad with vinaigrette. The dessert was a Apple Crostata Once in the home we were provided a recipe list of what we were going to cook. Chef Noona sat us down and carefully went over the whole recipe sheet detailing the reasons and science of the ingredients. This made me feel very comfortable and helped me understand more about certain ingredients. The hardest part about the meal to us was creating the dough, but Chef Noona helped us tremendously and showed genuine patience. I really enjoyed the experience and will recommend her to anyone! Thanks again Chef Noona, we will be back.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our first ever Cozymeal experience with Chef Dirk. He graciously welcomed us into his beautiful home and we immediately felt comfortable. Chef Dirk kept our attention, made the class fun and entertaining, all the while having us learn how to prepare the dishes we were about to eat. We had tons of fun preparing the meal and the food was delicious of course! Chef Dirk even had made the visit even more personal by celebrating my wife's birthday. We will definitely be back for another class in the future!

Chef Ryan was great! My husband and I had so much fun learning about Filipino food and making such a delicious meal. Ryan was patient with us and made everything super comfortable and friendly. We ended up with a good amount of leftovers, too, so we got to have our dishes again the next night for dinner. I'd highly recommend this class to a couple looking for a fun and relaxing evening with yummy food!

Chef Joni's paella class was fabulous! The kitchen was beautiful. Chef Joni was so personable and knowledgeable. We learned about each ingredient, and how different ingredients can be substituted. It was very hands on. The paella tasted delicious, the sangria was sooo good, and the desert, Valencia Orange Cake melted in our mouths. I definitely recommend this class.

Chef Phoebe was a great host and teacher for our Taste of Japan class! My team had a great time, and everyone liked doing some hands on sushi-making, but sort of only really needing to do the fun parts (and not the prep, clean up or preparation of the sides). We also appreciated the history and technique that Chef Phoebe taught us. Lastly, the venue was absolutely perfect and we loved having the private setting.

I had a wonderful time with Chef Valerie in her gorgeous kitchen last Saturday with my family as we were shown the proper methods to make and cook pasta, sauces and a fabulous fruit galette. We all found her very informative and she has a lovely, calm nature. It is clear she has a passion for cooking and good food. I look forward to trying out her recipes in my own kitchen! My sister and I organized the event for our mother's 80th birthday gift. She was absolutely thrilled to have a unique opportunity to cook with 4 of her 6 grandchildren (who are all young adults and learning to cook for themselves now). Such a wonderful experience with Chef Daniel! My partner and I learned how to make tapas and a seafood paella, which turned out delicious! Having very little experience in culinenary, Chef Daniel makes you feel comfortable in the kitchen, which made the class enjoyable and fun! I would highly recommend this class for anyone who wants to learn (and of course eat!) Spanish cuisine.
