Booked the class Perfecting Sushi Rolls with Chef Elham in San Jose (Northside)
We had a great time! Chef Elham opened up her home to us, had all the ingredients ready and provided a nice set up. There were 8 people in the class which made it a lot more fun. Such a great experience. The downside to it (nothing to do with the chef) the app needs to be more clear on the area that you’re booking the class in… And… There needs to be more communication before they take your money. This is legit class and the company is real. The way they book the class makes you feel like it is a scam. Other than that, Chef Elham made it a positive and fun experience.
Booked the event Sushi Basics with Chef Mike in San Francisco (Dogpatch)

Booked the class Rolls, Sashimi and Nigiri with Chef Edison in East Bay (Concord)
Chef Edison was a great host! The class was held in his home, where he made us feel comfortable and welcome. There was a wide variety of seafood and toppings that we were able to choose from to create our own unique rolls. Chef Edison taught us several different styles of sushi and let us get after it with a blow torch too! My boyfriend and I had a great time and are going to use what we learned to make sushi tonight.

Booked the class Rolls and Nigiri with Chef Edison in East Bay (Concord)
Chef Edison is great. Loved the class, and you will too. Just know, if you think you're done eating after making the rolls, you're wrong! I filled up a lot on those, and there was still maki, nigiri and hand rolls to make and eat! There was so much fish, I didn't know how to process it. Thanks Chef!

Great event! Thanks for everything Chef Phoebe, we really enjoyed learning about and how to make Sushi.
Booked the class Japanese Seafood Skills with Chef Ryan in South Bay & Peninsula (East San Mateo)
Chef Ryan walked us through the whole culinary experience like the professional he is, clearly explaining every step with humor and giving us tips for when we cook at home. Everything we made was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, and we can’t wait to try to replicate it! As a bonus, he even rolled with it when we (accidentally) showed up half an hour early. Wonderful experience, will definitely be booking again. Thank you!
Booked the event A Taste of Japan with Chef Phoebe in South Bay & Peninsula (Pedro Point)
Chef Phoebe was a great host and teacher for our Taste of Japan class! My team had a great time, and everyone liked doing some hands on sushi-making, but sort of only really needing to do the fun parts (and not the prep, clean up or preparation of the sides). We also appreciated the history and technique that Chef Phoebe taught us. Lastly, the venue was absolutely perfect and we loved having the private setting.

Booked the event French-Japanese Fusion with Chef Phoebe in San Francisco (Mission District)
We had a wonderful experience in Chef Phoebe's beautiful kitchen for our French-Japanese fusion team building event. Chef Phoebe balanced the evening very well between providing direction, letting us get our hands dirty, and also taking action to help get some of our courses on the table. It was enough to keep us all engaged, but give us a chance to enjoy some wine and connect as a team. Everyone loved the event and the food - we highly recommend Chef Phoebe and any of her culinary events,

Chef Karoi was a wonderful teacher at tonight's ramen class! We learned all about how to make the noodles and the process she went through to create the broth. Between the ramen and gyoza, we were stuffed by the end. We will definitely be taking what we learned and recreating the process at home in the future. So if you are interested in what it takes to make flavorful broth and delicious noodles, definitely check out this class. You won't be disappointed.

My husband, Dan, and I found this Donabe cooking class to be incredible. Chef Evan taught us how to slowly meld the ingredients together patiently to achieve a wonderful blend of flavors. Without using exact measurements, we learned to taste frequently to get the perfect end product. Leftovers that we took home were marvelous the next day. We already gave him a tip to show our appreciation.
