What an incredible experience! Chef Jordan gave us far more than a meal, he gave us an education and a memory we'll be talking about for a long time. His knowledge of food as medicine was fascinating, and his calm, welcoming demeanor made the entire experience feel approachable and fun. The food itself was absolutely epic, but what really made the day special was everything we learned along the way. From proper knife skills to new ways to cut and prepare fruits and vegetables, Jordan shared techniques that will change how we cook at home. He even managed to convince our palates that not all peppers are created equal! Today was fun, unique, delicious, and exactly what we were hoping for as an anniversary cooking experience. Super fun experience making sushi with Chef Krong! She was incredibly attentive and took the time to clearly explain each step, which made the whole experience even better. She also took photos for us and was so thoughtful about giving us space to enjoy dinner together. She wrapped everything up quickly and left the kitchen tighty. We made Ricotta Cannoli, Panna Cotta, Ricciarelli and chocolate ganache. It was such a great family bonding experience and the desserts came out extremely delicious. My favorite dessert was the Panna Cotta. When I found this class on CozyMeal I knew I wanted to try something different and Chef Shasha was such a pleasant instructor.

Chef ShaSha is such a delight! I booked this experience for my boyfriend’s birthday since he loves Italian food and has always wanted to learn how to make pasta from scratch. A few days prior to the event, Chef ShaSha called me and we chatted about the menu. Unfortunately her new ravioli maker hadn’t come in yet so we decided to pivot to making Pappardelle pasta with a red sauce instead. The morning of, she arrived early and brought all necessary items we needed (fresh and prepped ingredients, a pasta roller, etc). She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history behind our food items, given her culinary background and education, and very patient and flexible with us. I really enjoyed how hands-on we got to be. We aren’t the most outgoing people but Chef ShaSha immediately broke the ice and brought so much fun and laughter to the experience. Our food turned out amazing with her help, and most importantly my boyfriend loved the entire event. Can’t speak highly of her enough; would definitely recommend booking!

We took the sushi class and learned how to do three types of rolls and hand rolls. Chef Paulo was super knowledgeable and approachable. It was a really fun experience learning how to cook the rice, cut the fish and other fillings, and learn how to roll them. We are all beginners and he helped make sure all of us were able to complete all of our rolls. I would absolutely recommend the class and chef Paulo personally

Chef Paulo was awesome!! He was spot on in teaching us the basic of sushi making so we can make a variety of sushi rolls in the future. And we got a bonus of learning to make a hand roll. We had an amazing time with chef ShaSha! She was very knowledgeable, sharing with us tips and tricks from her years of experience while also teaching us about the cuisine we were making. She asked what our preferences were before we started; if we wanted to be more hands on or hands off with the cooking and if we wanted any advice/input on our technique as we went. This helped curate an environment that made us comfortable and suited us best. Not only is chef ShaSha knowledgable, but she is fun and enjoyable to converse with. Great! Exceeded my expectations. Chef Marty provides a charismatic experience that helps you understand not only how to cook like a chef, but I would argue, she teaches you how to think like a chef, paying attention to so many details I would normally overlook. Her approach is holistic, paying attention to timing, color, texture, aroma, even ambient humidity! And so much more that I learned last night, I can't list them all here. So many things go into what you see on the plate, and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher to help me appreciate the art of cooking. High recommendations from Zen. Thanks again Marty. I'll have to bust out my fresh pasta making skills for friends and family one of these days.

Chef Stacy was incredible! We had an amazing lesson on vegan sushi. Stacy was easy going and provided excellent instruction, and made the most of our small kitchen space (don't feel like you can't do this if you have a small kitchen- ours is tiny and she made it work effortlessly!). My fiance bought this as a birthday present and it was by far my favorite gift! Now we have the skills we need to make vegan sushi at home any time. Stacy is a delight. Thank you!!!

Thank you Chef Sha Sha! We had a fabulous experience! Chef Sha Sha came to my house to teach us ladies how to make Bruschetta, Cannoli, and ravioli with tomato sauce (yum!!) from scratch. This was a birthday shindig. There were 5 of us. I have a small kitchen, but she was flexible with the workflow and made it happen. She stayed over the scheduled 3hr time because she took her time with each of us on the pasta machine. She's very patient, thorough, attention to detail, and ensured each of us was hands. She even quizzed us throughout. :) Chef explained the whys, the hows, the don'ts, and suggested options and alternatives. She is so personable and pleasant; good times! It really was a fun and unique experience. Our food came out picture perfect and sooo tasty! We highly recommend Chef Sha Sha for any cooking lessons.

The food we cooked was made with only quality ingredients and was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this experience with Chef ShaSha for any occasion!

Booked the class Exquisite Spanish Fare with Chef Adina in San Diego
Pros: - The chef warmed up to us at the end of the cooking session despite having a rocky start in the beginning. :) Helped us clean the stove and washed some dishes herself. Potatoes were amazing!! Had an incredibly diverse background story about how she came to specialize in vegan culinary cuisine. Cons: - The chef bought seafood and groceries from Ralphs down the street and did not prepare dough from scratch . She used pre-made tarts and pie pastry for two of the four dishes). Additionally, half of the 12 mussels she brought died and were thrown away. - Only four of the Ralph’s shrimp were used in the paella. We were hoping at least 6 or more would be used. Additionally, the shrimp was frozen and melted which resulted in them sitting in their own juices and us questioning the sanitization integrity of the rest of the ingredients she pre-measured in jars. Ingredients could have come from her house and we had no way of verifying whether they were safe to consume. - The empanadas ruptured due to the chef not being mindful of the temperature of the filling (we had to point this out on her behalf). Additionally half of the empanadas burned since the pan was not flipped half way ( uneven bake) . Take aways: - The dishes did not even come close to the pictures advertised on the website. Frankly, this meal could’ve have been prepared without the chef with better quality ingredients for less money and much more. This is a scam and just underwhelming overall. It’s a carb fest is all there is to say which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if it is what you are looking for but unfortunately, this is not what was marketed/advertised.) Not cons but not pros: - Original attitude was extremely off putting from the get-go on the phone and when given parking suggestions. It seemed as if we were getting patronized for trying to prevent her from getting towed. - Was condescending when our provided pan was too small and we offered a pot in its place. Chef didn’t offer any learning opportunities or background knowledge regarding the dishes we put together except replacing rice with angel hair pasta in the paella. Chef told us to wash dishes twice and asked us to dry her pan for her.

I attended this class with my partner to celebrate our anniversary and have nothing but positive remarks. He adjusted the recipes to our restrictions/preferences (I'm gluten-free and vegetarian). He communicated about each step, gave us tips on knife skills (etc.), and connected with us. We also really enjoyed sitting down and sharing a meal with Chef Jordan and his partner. Thanks for a great class and for welcoming us. If you're debating whether or not this class will be worth it, debate no longer. Also, the food was impeccable.

Plus, every dish was so flavorful and delicious! And his home overlooking the lake is serene. He went above and beyond to make our holiday memorable. We had so much fun this is going to be our new Thanksgiving tradition!

Our experience with Chef Jordan was a perfect blend of a fine culinary session and back yard bbq. We kicked things off with a special cacao opener. We learned useful prep techniques, enjoyed 3 courses of organic and responsibly sourced food, garden fresh herbs, and specially made sauces. We enjoyed steak frites with a lakeside sunset view and finished with a wonderous dessert with surprising ingredients. It was an evening full of music, clean upper scale food, useful information, great conversation, and generous left overs. Truly elevating!

This in-home experience exceeded expectations. Chef ShaSha exudes professionalism and industry knowledge. She was amazing and very patient with our 6 year old that joined in on the fun of making homemade pasta. The food turned out amazing and my wife and I learned so much about how pasta should taste versus what we were used to. We cannot recommend enough both this course and Chef ShaSha! Another class is definitely in our future!

It was also great to learn more about Thai ingredients we have been curious about!

Rachel was a fantastic teacher. She worked with me and my wife as part of the Fundamental Dessert Techniques course, which included preparation of panna cotta, cheesecake, and crème brûlée. Rachel was a patient and informative instructor, and allowed my wife and me to do all procedures ourselves, stepping in for occasional recommendations. She had a good balance of advising on technical specifics while also giving us room to do each step ourselves, even if we were imperfect at certain stages. All recipes were doable for non-professionals like us, tasted great, and generated reasonable dessert portion sizes for two people without having too much excess. Rachel brought nearly everything we needed, and coordinated with me a week in advance on what we would need and what she could bring, and nothing was missing when it came time to prepare the recipes. Rachel was parked near our complex before the appointment time, and came in right on time and was ready to go. She was patient as well while my wife and I were still getting our daughter settled in for the evening and switching off for the first 20 minutes or so. Everything was done within 2 hours on the dot, and that was with some recipes taking longer than planned in our oven. I would highly recommend this course if you are looking for an interesting date night, or have an anniversary or birthday/similar coming up for a partner who loves to cook/bake (or at least the idea of it!). Rachel was a pleasure to have in our home, and we look forward to taking one of her other classes sometime!

Chef Sha was absolutely amazing! I booked her for my one year anniversary, and tailored the menu to what I thought my boyfriend would enjoy. CHef Sha worked graciously with me to plan the perfect meal. She had prepared the most delicious Sicilian red sauce with sausage and beef braciole prior to coming to my apartment to make the rest of the meal. Once she arrived, we made caprese salad, lemon panna cotta, and the best part was the homemade fettucine!! She gave me and my boyfriend so many helpful tips in preparing food as well as presentation. I learned so much without feeling instructed. My boyfriend told me it was the best anniversary gift he has ever been given! Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone!!

Chef ShaSha was amazing! I purchased a private, in home cooking class for my parents as a (Mother's Day and dad's birthday) present. It was a wonderful experience. They made ravioli from scratch and Chef ShaSha brought all the supplies and ingredients. She was a patient teacher, allowing my family to participate as much or as little as they liked. My parents made a last minute addition, inviting two other guests and Chef ShaSha was most accommodating. She called ahead of time to make sure that the menu was everything we wanted and finalized details assuring us that everything was on track and ready to go. A relief for someone trying to coordinate from a few states away. I will be calling her again!

Great cooking class and experience. It was good to hear the history that Chef Marty shared about Italy and also her herb garden. Everything was really well planned out and it was great meeting new people and sharing dinner with them as well. Also there is absolutely no issue with the porta potty, super clean and Chef Marty even offer us her personal bathroom if we wanted.

We used all fresh ingredients and he showed us how easy it was to make a healthy flavorful meal. His welcoming attitude made us feel like we were right at home making our fresh pasta. I hired Chef Krong for my fiancé as a Christmas gift and it was so much fun! She is very polite, funny, inclusive and makes you feel good about learning how to cook! Even if you have someone who doesn’t really cook, chef Krong walks you through the entire process with patience and makes you feel like you’re cooking with a friend. She cooked three courses including the Laab Gai, Moo Pad Prik Thai Dam, Gaeng Massaman Gai, and Thai Sticky Rice w/ Mango. EVERYTHING was delicious and fun to make! We appreciated how she answered questions along the way and offered alternatives/suggestions for future cooking. She gave us tips on where to buy future ingredients & introduced us to different sauces and seasonings. We are definitely planning to hire her again and invite friends/family to join.
