We had a wonderful birthday celebration dinner prepared and served by Chef Mert, who is easy-going, personable, and professional. I had asked Chef Mert to teach us knife skills which he prepared for by choosing a menu that required slicing, dicing, julienning and knife sharpening! We made a delicious vegetable soup (thickening secret = plain Greek yogurt with some flour mixed into it!) and a flavorful ratatouille with a pan-cooked chicken breast, cut up and tossed with the vegetables. Melt in your mouth goodness. Prior to that, Mert preheated the oven and prepared a whole chicken with plenty of garlic, pepper and salt, lemon and rosemary, rubbing the chicken liberally with olive oil. And while it cooked and we helped him prepare the soup, we opened and shared a bottle of wine. Mert cut up a panoply of fresh fruit, tossed in their own juices and refrigerated. While we enjoyed our soup (there was enough for seconds, and thirds on the next day), Mert plated the chicken and ratatouille. A perfectly roasted chicken, moist, tender and flavorful. We had enough left for 4 more meals. We were so happy and impressed that Mert cleaned up the dishes, counters and sink so well, and left our kitchen as clean and neat as he found it. He arrived shortly before 6pm to set up, and left a bit after 8:30. We helped ourselves to the fruit salad which tasted even better than expected, after half an hour in the refrigerator. The evening was great, as was MertвЂ™s company. He is from Turkey and learned to cook from his grandmothers. Chef Mert has worked in first-rate kitchens but says he never went to cooking school. Shows you that good cooking is an innate talent. It would be fun to have him back to cook an authentic Turkish meal! Kudos to Chef Mert and CozyMeals. P.S. We gave Mert a tip in person.

Chef Mert is fantastic! We took his beginners course and he really takes the time to explain and answer every question you have. He explained the thinking behind the cooking to get things just perfect, which I really appreciated. He is a very polite and chill person; very easy and fun to talk to! Also so knowledgeable in different cuisines and restaurants local to the area. 10/10 experience I canвЂ™t recommend highly enough!!

We had a Team Building event with Chef Jace and he was phenomenal! He is extremely passionate, knowledgeable, patient, and engaging! He is very down-to-earth and kind, while still being highly respectable and professional. He taught us to make coffee-crusted steak, ceviche, crepes, and beignets. My favorite part of the night was our crepe-flipping contest, which was so fun. And I am still dreaming about those beignets! All of the food was incredible and Chef Jace executed it perfectly. Thank you so much, Chef Jace!

This was so much fun! Chef Jace led us in preparing a delicious seafood meal. The chef was knowledgeable and friendly; he made this an enjoyable class. I would recommend this experience to anyone. The only thing that I would change is that I would have liked the chef to have us prepare the entire meal ourselves. Unfortunately, that was not possible as some parts had to be made in advance due to the menu. Still, I learned quite a bit that I am eager to try out this weekend. Give this a go. You won't be disappointed.

What a fabulous and delicious evening we just shared with Chef Jace! Our children gave us a gift certificate for our 5th anniversary last year and we finally had the opportunity to use it. We picked the American Classics with a Cajun Twist by Chef Jace because the menu sounded intriguing and we were not disappointed. Thank you to Chef for his expertise, his teaching, his delicious food and wonderful conversation. We will definitely be back to try the Saturday and Sunday Brunch at Middlebar. #Cozymeal

As I write this review, I am dunking a leftover beignet into my coffee from last night's culinary adventure with Chef Jace. I received a CozyMeal gift certificate for my birthday and immediately started curating a wishlist of classes. As I began to whittle down the delicious options, I noticed that I had saved Chef Jace's menus more than any other chef. After reading his bio, I thought, "Who better to teach a masterclass in NOLA fare than a NOLA local?" Chef Jase served up an awesome evening full of fun, laughs and lip-smacking food. Each course carried a different lesson that every home cook should have in their arsenal - knife skills for ceviche, kneading dough for beignets, testing the doneness of a filet, flipping a crepe. Chef Jase handled our enthusiastic amateur status with humor and patience and guided us into creating one delicious course after another. His experience and creativity made the traditional Southern menu elevated, yet approachable. We'll be back for seconds!

Jace was beyond great. He made accommodations with a few scheduling hiccups and really worked with us. Jace is very vibrant and teaches different methods and techniques in a fun way. Overall, the menu was great, and we will definitely be visiting MiddleBar whether it's for brunch or to do another private dining experience.

Chef Kiki is the definition of a human being that make a house a home. If you are a fan of the intangibles life has to offer, I recommend an experience with Chef Kiki. Chef Gene's beef wellington had me completely in awe. So tender, rich, and flavorful, it is absolute perfection. Chef Gene is incredibly skilled and lives in a stunning home with a beautiful view. After cooking with him, it'll be hard to go back to standard dinners.

Chef Gene's cooking will make you feel like a king (or queen), and he empowers you to pass that feeling on to your loved ones. He's a patient and skilled teacher, and uses only incredible ingredients. I can't think about his Beef Wellington without my salivary glands going into overdrive -- it's a perfect (and rich!) hit of meaty, tender filet, umami-rich mushroom, and crispy, flaky puff pastry. A must try.

Chef Katy was the most inviting and her kitchen - nearly overlooking Venice Beach is absolutely breathtaking. Not only did she cater to our food allergies but her recipes were downright delicious. Just being in her kitchen was an experience as the large windows, natural sunlight, high ceilings, and trendy design, made the cooking environment incredibly fun; my compact narrow kitchen is a bit depressing. Chef Katy provided all the materials we needed, gave advice on quality cookware items to purchase for at home ventures, and taught in a way that made cooking easy. You wont regret this meal or experience. I highly recommend. P.S. We had so many leftovers :D

Chef Shakti was so friendly and welcoming to her cozy apartment. She was informative and made the experience fun and comfortable. I would highly recommend any of her classes. We did the New American Vegan and the food was delicious, and so simple to make! I can't wait to make it again for my friends.
