Chef Meg was awesome. I loved her energy and her home is extremely welcoming. She made the cooking experience very comfortable. Allowed us to participate and welcomed us into her kitchen as if it were our own. The meal was exceptional and Doug was also a great asset with the experience. I will definitely book again and I encourage those to do the same. Chef Meg rock and looking forward to more sessions with her!

Meg is a hoot! And, sheвЂ™s a great chef. My 11yo son and I had a great time learning great tips about knife skills, seasoning, and taking our time to bring our great flavors. What a great evening of fun! And her sous chef, doggie Douglas, was icing on the cake!

My husband and I had a WONDERFUL experience with Chef William for the French Indulgences lesson. Chef William put us at ease immediately and was a terrific instructor. As we made the courses, he taught us specific techniques for preparing different ingredients (ex., how to do tomato concasse, julienne onions, deglaze a pan when making sauces, etc). Chef William was easy to talk to and by the end it felt like cooking with an old friend! My husband and I loved each dish that we made and felt that it was definitely a worthwhile experience. One note - our lesson was the weekend of the crazy windstorm in DC. We actually ended up losing power towards the end (the whole street was out!) when we were eating course #4, but Chef William powered through like a total champ and turned our dinner into a romantic candlelit setting. A great experience all around and would definitely recommend.

Our chef was bubbly and fun but I was disappointed that our chicken breast cutlet had been butchered. Instead of receiving 2 full cutlets we had one full and one that had been butchered into 4 pieces of varying sizes. The chef apologized, which I appreciate, but I world expect better quality for the class. It did make it a bit challenging to cook within the time allotted considering that 4 people were using a single burner/pan and we had twice the amount of pieces to brown. The texture of the chicken was also off. It was very chewy, hard to describe, but not palatable. Maybe it didnвЂ™t get tenderized enough? I didnвЂ™t want to make a big deal in front of the other guests so I didnвЂ™t say anything to the chef and The piece that wasnвЂ™t butchered had a normal texture. Sauce was delicious and I canвЂ™t believe how easy it is to make pasta from scratch! I will be attempting to make at home.

Chef Manjiri systematically showed us how to make good vegetarian food, going through the recipe, then helping us prepare the ingredients, and then cook the ingredients so we understand how to make the food ourselves. We enjoyed the paneer butter masala and the Fruit Srikhan. She was very patient and answered all our questions so we really understand the dishes.

Chef Shelley was a wonderful host and teacher with an absolutely fantastic personality. Even when some severe storms rolled through and we had to reschedule she was understanding and accomodated us. Chef Shelly provided an unforgettable experience for me and my young cousin. I informed chef in advance that my cousin dreams to be a chef one day and I thought this would be a great experience for her and Chef Shelly did not disappoint. She greeted us with open arms like we were family and took time to get to know us and ensured we were comfortable and felt at home before we began. Once we began cooking, she instantly became an educator and ensured we knew the history and origin of each dish, and every technical term in the kitchen. She put us to work and ensured we got our hands dirty to cook an incredible three course meal. After words while we enjoyed our delicious hard work, she spent time sharing her experiences from the highs and lows, from successes and sacrifices so my cousin understands what it takes to become a great chef. My cousin left calling Chef Shelly Nana and ensuring sheвЂ™ll keep in touch. This one cooking class with Chef Shelly left a lasting impression on us and IвЂ™m forever grateful for the experience she provided.
