Review of Cooking Class at Chef Jaime’s Home We had the great pleasure of attending a cooking class in Chef Jaime's clean, cozy, and welcoming apartment, which featured a large kitchen and a beautiful center island with granite countertops—perfect for group cooking. We prepared vegan empanadas, guacamole, and a delicious veggies stew, sauces, etc. all under Chef Jaime's expert guidance and supervision. Chef Jaime’s enthusiasm and energy truly set the tone for a fantastic experience. She was incredibly organized, managing the class smoothly and keeping us on track without ever making it feel rushed. What really stood out was her ability to engage with participants of all experience levels, from beginners to more seasoned cooks, making sure everyone felt included and valued. Her positive, supportive attitude created an environment that was not only instructive but also fun and encouraging. It was clear that she’s passionate about her craft and genuinely cares about ensuring her students have a memorable experience. 5 Star class! Ivan made it very educational, but also fun and delicious! They were able to separate our group into 2 kitchens, so it was more hands on. We even got leftovers! Will definitely attend another one of his classes!

I set up a booking with Joaselyn for my girlfriend and I on her birthday and WOW we were both so impressed and thrilled by the experience. Joaselyn is not just an excellent cook, but a great teacher and really fun person to talk to. Her space was beautiful with excellent views of the city and Joaselyn made us feel at home right away. The menu was ambitious without being overwhelming, and we got started immediately - it was so wonderful to be able to participate and learn how to create a beautiful and delicious meal from scratch! We're excited to make try these dishes at home. Cannot recommend enough. 11/10, would book again.

My wife and I had a great time at the "Tantalizing Tapas†cooking class organized by Cozymeal. Our chef, Joaselyn, made our evening’s experience absolutely fun and enjoyable. We learned that we could make an array of delicious tapas by simply selecting some easy-to-get ingredients and preparing them the right way. Our cooking environment was pleasant and Joaselyn was friendly, patient and great to work with. We followed her step-by-step instructions and totally immersed ourselves in preparing and cooking five different tapas. A must-mentioned is Joaselyn’s sauces! They are easy to make and tasted heavenly. The best part of these sauces is that you can apply them to a wide variety of food, may it be vegetables, meats or bread, and they are all yummy! The last part of the class was the easiest one --- my wife and I had a sit-down tapas dinner after our class and thoroughly enjoyed our delightful creations. We will get our recipes for what we learned that evening, and will definitely do this again to learn some more interesting dishes from Joaselyn.

The team at City Cooking exceeded our expectations and provided a wonderful experience for the evening. The class was BYOB, which allowed for flexibility and a more customized feel. Chef Michael was extremely knowledgeable and did an amazing job managing 4 couples and getting us through a three-course meal in an hour and 45 minutes! He even had macaroons for us at the beginning, which I thought was a considerate gesture. The only reason I give this a 4 rather than a 5 was that I felt a little rushed and like he wanted us to leave at the end. I personally did not like the salad that we created but that may be just my preference. Over all, I had a great time and felt that it was worth every penny spent. The conversation with the other couples there was great, and I would recommend this to anybody looking for a neat experience in New York.

We had a WONDERFUL experience learning from Chef Michael. He was professional, patient, and enthusiastic about his craft. We’ve all been to several cooking classes and kept saying how unique, personal, and relaxed this cooking class felt. Our food was delicious and we came home happy and full. The flavors were rich and the recipes were new to us but also not unbelievable technical - we all felt like we’d be able to replicate the recipes at home which was a great takeaway from this evening, too! We highly recommend this experience!!!

My sister, cousins, and I had such a great time at this cooking experience. Chef Jamie was not only super chill and funny but also made everything feel approachable and fun. The food turned out incredible, especially the pisto with bread and the sweet potato and bean filling for the empanadas, honestly, I’d eat that filling on its own. We came in thinking we might leave a little hungry, but we were so full by the end basically fighting to keep eating. The kitchen space was perfect for a group, with plenty of room for everyone to get hands-on. We all were able to chop, stir, pour, season, and Chef was super open to all our questions. We learned a lot about reducing food waste, proper knife techniques, and storing produce, plus got to hear about Chef’s path to becoming a private chef. Also, random but worth mentioning, the whole place had a super peaceful vibe (shoes off at the door), and the bathroom? Gorgeous. Skylight and all. Highly recommend this experience!

Chef Michael is a really interactive instructor and definitely learned a lot from his class! The appetizer (Roasted Dates Wrapped in Bacon) was really simple to prepare but a really delicious combo. The Spanish roasted chicken had a lot of components and was filling and a good blend of flavors. Lastly the dessert was the perfect ending to the meal.

Chef was accommodating to dietary needs. My party and I enjoyed the experience. Wish it was a little longer but over all good. I thought there was going to be more hands on or techniques for everything, but instead, everyone did a little bit of everything. So instead of me learning how brown the chicken should be, I was cutting up apples instead. I wish the food was warm by the time we ate it. (Wasn’t as warm by the time we got to sit an eat) Good experience over all though!
