We cooked the Spanish meal which included Patatas Bravas, Seafood Paella and Churro with dark chocolate dip. The patatas were delicious and the dip took it to another level. The paella was very flavorful and the churros were light and fluffy. Chef Danushka was patient with our questions and we learned other things beyond what the Spanish feast called for. Me and my friend had a great and highly recommend it to anyone looking to have fun and learn pro way to cook.

I gained a ton of confidence in my chicken breast cooking, and chef's fun energy powered us through! I actually feel like I could do what we did at home... and it wasn't too tough. Even the risotto seemed really straightforward... and those nutella brownies rocked. I'm excited to sign up for another class with chef Danushka again, soon!

I purchased this experience for mine and my partners 1 year anniversary. We did the pasta making class. The final product was delicious. Chef Danushka is a pro. She knows her stuff and she appreciates those that know how to follow direction. So, if you think you are going to go in there and just wing it, you got another thing coming lol. Chef has a dry humor that may take some a little time to adjust to. We didn't have a problem with it. We actually found it quite funny, but I can see how some may not adjust as well. Howerever, she is very sociable, interactive, and knowledgeable. Her home is beautiful and super clean. We do plan on taking another class some time soon. Thank you Chef for being a part of our celebration, and creating such a great experience. Also, I'll practice not calling you ma'am next time around.

My wife and I took Danushka's Italian cooking class where we made a salad from scratch, 2 types of handmade ravioli and a apple & pear rum cake for desert. Chef Danushka was a good teacher and had a fun personality. Her home was beautiful and we had a great time. The Parmesan and ricotta ravioli in brown butter sage sauce was a knockout! Highly recommend!

Who doesnâ€™t love an Italian meal with a nice salad, fresh pasta, and a delicious dessert. The experience in Chef Danushkaâ€™s kitchen was delightful. I learned that all these years I have been holding my knife incorrectly. I learned that when Iâ€™m making a salad dressing, I need to emulsify the ingredients. But the best of all was having fun learning how to make fresh pasta. This is something that I always found intimidating, especially using a pasta maker. Well, the experience was fun! I canâ€™t wait to get my own pasta maker and go to town making ravioli for us and my family. I highly recommend chef Danushka! Definitely planning to come back for additional experiences!

My girlfriend and I took â€œA Romantic Italian Feast in Veronaâ€ with Chef Danushka, and it was one of the best date afternoons weâ€™ve had. For context, my culinary repertoire tops out at ground beef, black beans, and garlic powderâ€”so a hands-on pasta class was a stretch for me. Chef Danushka walked us through ravioli completely from scratch: mixing and rolling the dough, cutting, filling, sealing, and cooking it. We also made a smoky bacon marinara that permanently changed what I thought pasta sauce could be. Along the way, I learned that sealing ravioli demands more pressure than youâ€™d expect, that whisking is not just aggressive stirring, that ravioli dough gets exactly two folds (not three, not six), and that operating a pasta maker does not require twisting yourself into a yoga poseâ€”something Chef Danushka witnessed firsthand. She was patient, kind, and genuinely skilled, keeping the whole afternoon relaxed without sacrificing real technique. 10/10 would fold the dough exactly twice again!

We had THE BEST time with Chef Danushka!!! We did the dumpling Asian exploration class and it was fantastic. Chef Danushka was very welcoming, informative, and fun to learn from. She taught us knife skills, how to fold dumplings, and so so much more. We loved being able to do the cooking and enjoy the delicious food along the way. My friend gave me this experience for Christmas and it was the best gift! Chef Danushka was very knowledgable in the kitchen and I learned some things that I will be implementing in my own kitchen right away! The meal was entirely gluten free and so delicious. We made shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce, Thai pork meatballs with rice noodles with sauce, and coconut rice pudding with candied ginger and fresh mango for dessert. I am excited to make the meal again for my family. It was a really fun time- highly recommend!

Danushka, aka â€œcookâ€, aka â€œmasterâ€, aka â€œsenseiâ€, but never â€œmaâ€™amâ€ (NEVER â€œmaâ€™am), runs a tight and tidy kitchen. I would recommend Danushkaâ€™s cooking class with 6 out of 5 stars for any family who fancies themselves even halfway competent in the kitchen. Our experience was defined by good natured ribbing, fine wine and plenty of breaks for sampling the delectable dishes that Danushka directed a family of amateur chefs into cooking. If I had to compare Danushkaâ€™s tutelage to a kitchen implement it would not be a sandalwood soup ladle, but a cast iron cheese grater because I can only describe the experience as a cleansing culinary flagellation. After a 3 hour session I think I speak for our whole family when I say that I feel as if a lifetime of improper kitchen habits have been painstakingly peeled away from me in a scathingly cathartic hotpot of tears (crying laughing

We cooked General Tso Chicken with black fried rice, Pork dumplings and dipping sauce and banana tempera with chocolate sauce. She was very organized and understood the importance of how to cook items in a way that was easy to follow and made it comfortable for us to try at home. She built in knife and frying skills. She allowed us to take pictures of the receipts as well as an extra one that once she understood the reason for taking the class to learn more how to cook Asian. She was professional and delightful. She did teach us how to substitute an ingredient if your run out of something. I would be will to take another class from her or recommend to a friend.

Chef Danushka is quirky, but in the best way. Once we all warmed up to one another we really enjoyed ourselves. Six people paid for our ravioli class, but only two couples showed up. It turned out that was fine though â€” a more personal experience. Chef Danushka is a person filled with personality. Although you wouldn't think so at first given her very deadpan humor and delivery of instructions but, she is genuinely funny. I think what I enjoyed the most was the confidence she helped build throughout our session. Her instructions were clear and she was patient. The food turned out great and the dessert was (chefs kiss). In fact, I not only cleaned out my plate but also my wife's plate and then had to stop myself after licking my own plate. You walk into Chef Danushka's beautiful home and are greeted with a chill atmosphere. She already has the food settings ready and the food laid out. After introductions and house rules, you start cooking the course menu. We did the Sweet and Savory Thai Cuisine. You get hands-on experience and learn some neat tips & tricks along the way. Chef Danushka makes you feel comfortable even if you have no idea what you are doing and is quite funny. She has a good balance of professionalism and entertainment -- I would recommend. Would give Chef Danushka more stars if I could!! I booked a private cooking experience with Chef Danushka last weekend with five of my close friends. None of us were quite sure what to expect or how formal the arrangement was going to be. We brought plenty of wine and were prepared to make it a memorable night. From the moment we arrived, we were brought into the Chef's adorable, clean home with a beautiful kitchen, perfectly arranged for us to gather comfortably with a great view of all cooking instructions. The Chef is hilarious and made all of us feel at ease while still giving us lighthearted banter that made sure we were all involved and engaged. The food was one of the best meals I've had in awhile (and I'm not even typically a pork eater) and the experience overall was one of the highlights of the last few months. Thank you, Chef! This class is wonderful. The Thai food is healthy and delicious. Everyone participates in the class, cooking various parts of the meal. We eat as we go. Everything is tasty, delicious and very replicatable - you can make it at home! Chef Danushka is a wealth of knowledge, answering questions as you go and giving you tips along the way (how to hold a knife, how to chop cilantro, how to chop ginger, etc). I was in a group of 4 and we had a lot of fun, ate well, and learned a ton.

I cannot recommend Danushka's lessons enough. My boyfriend and I were a bit apprehensive about joining four people we didn't know for the evening, but we had an absolute blast. Danushka guided us through each course, gave us all a chance to get involved, with helpful kitchen tips and colorful commentary throughout. She was a genuine delight and we left excited to keep cooking. And the food was 5 stars! First, she taught us to make our own vinaigrette -- life changing. Next, we learned how to prepare butternut squash risotto before making chicken with parsley butter. And we ended with Nutella brownies, which are somehow even better they sound. Let me tell ya'll - what could have been a terrible experience turned out to be more than I could've imagined. I'll try to keep the story short, but I had originally booked a travelling chef as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday. The day before, I got a strange, sexist comment from the chef. Perplexed, I checked his reviews again (previously all 5's) to see a 1 star from the night before. It was very detailed about how unprofessional and disappointing the evening was. Freaking out, I reached out to the Cozymeal team for guidance at about 8pm. By 9:30pm I had been reached out to twice by phone by Heather with the 24 hour support team and received nothing but the best customer service. She understood my concerns and connected us last minute with Chef Danushka. I got several more emails from Heather checking in and making sure everything was set up. Now that I've raved about Cozymeal's amazing customer service, let me tell you: book Chef Danushka. She welcomed us into her lovely home and had a custom birthday card ready for my boyfriend. She had everything prepped and got us cooking right away. We bombarded her with questions and she gave us nothing but patient and useful tips. Everything flowed smoothly and we took breaks to eat the courses while others cooked. The food was perfect for a beginner and not to mention INSANELY good. Also, as an even nicer touch, she put a candle in the brownie at the end for my boyfriend's birthday. At the end, she wrote down a list of suggestions of kitchen supplies to get as my boyfriend will be moving soon. My boyfriend cannot stop talking about how amazing the experience was and wants Cozymeal to add a custom tip option because he thinks she deserves so much more than we gave her. Cozymeal, Chef Danushka - thank you for your flexibility, care, and professionalism. You gave us a night we'll never forget.

Chef Danushka was amazing! We immediately felt welcome and comfortable. She tailored the course to our wants, allowing us to be as hands on or hands off as we wanted. Since we came to cook, she let us do everything. Danushka was able to teach us so much without making us feel like we were in a class. Under her guidance, we were able to prepare a delicious 3 course Italian meal, learn the tools and techniques to prepare fine cuisine ourselves, and have an absolute blast doing it!
