Chef Eric

Surprised my man friend with an authentic mexican cooking class and safe to say it went over extremely well! Eric’s culinary expertise was very evident and he treated us to a truly authentic mexican experience. It was as interactive as we wanted it to be and he made it customizable to our kitchen/ dietary needs. He was such a pleasure to learn from! It was my first Cozymeal experience and I will definitely be back. I can’t recommend cozymeal and Chef Eric enough!

Chef Eric battled LA traffic to come to our house to cook the "light and bright french favorites" menu. As my wife and I sat in the kitchen, we discussed everything from Eric's past chef experience to food television to dietary recommendations for dogs! (We all love them). Along the way, Eric served us a four course meal. It began with cheese, fruit spread and toasted bread. Then we moved on to a great arugula salad with roasted carrots, avocado slices and a dressing that had as many layers of flavor as a good scotch. He even left us a little extra for the future. The main dish was mussels & fries in a garlic white wine sauce. We were especially interested in learning how to make this ourselves in the future, so he walked us through the process as he cooked, giving hints and tips along the way. I'll admit I drank the last of the sauce right out of the bowl. We finished with orange pastry cream eclairs. To be honest, I was so full at that point that I couldn't finish them and had to save a few for the next day. All in all, it was a wonderfully delicious learning experience. Highly recommend! I surprised my boyfriend with a cooking class with chef Eric making empanadas! We had a great time with many laughs and eating amazing food. I learned so much about cooking from chef Eric and highly recommend him!

Chef Eric is an incredibly talented Chef and fun to be around! He made a Oaxacan pizza that blew my mind with how good it was. The homemade refried beans were the best I've ever had!

I met Eric many years ago in Santa Barbara, CA through some mutual friends/coworkers. I was introduced to him when I needed someone to cook at my house for one of my many work events/dinners I love to throw. I was beyond impressed by the very first time he came to the house for such a young chef at the time. Eric not only knows his flavors, his organizational skills are spot on. During all my dinners I am usually in the kitchen with him cooking, for my own benefit of course, to learn. Eric is wonderful at giving instructions as well as explaining what and why you are doing what your doing. Eric has helped me with my Christmas work party as well which is usually around 50 guests! Quite impressive if you ask me! I highly recommend Eric, and once you see his work and taste his food, you’ll completely understand why.

I have known Chef Eric for 13 years. I have watched him grow from a young culinary student in Charleston, South Carolina to a fully developed Chef in Los Angeles, arguably one of the most demanding food cultures in America. Over the years Eric has prepared amazing dishes for our group of friends for casual get-togethers as well as for important life events. More recently he treated a large group of friends for a day-after wedding brunch at Mardi in West Hollywood. That was a year ago and that brunch is still talked about it. It’s not just Eric’s food that makes you feel special but his engagement with you that makes the experience so memorable. Eric’s passion for cooking is evident. From choosing ingredients, to the ways he moves about his kitchen, handles a knife, tastes his work and dresses a plate; one thing is clear, this is his calling. As his former roommate, I experienced this daily. Whether it’s a simple dish or a multi-course dinner party, Eric delivers with intent and a sense of intimacy. It is these experiences that have elevated my own cooking. I use basic skills and tricks I’ve learned from Eric every day. A love of cooking for the people you care about can be contagious when it is gifted in such a way. Anyone who I have been able to send to Eric’s table, either in his restaurant or for a private event, has thanked me enthusiastically. The first bite will seal it for you if the journey to it hadn’t already.

It was more than a pleasure having Chef Eric cook for us! We rented a house out in Malibu for Fourth of July weekend, and we had Eric stay with us as our chef all weekend. Starting by listening to my ideas, Eric meal planned the entire weekend around what information I provided. We had it all, cookouts, hors d'oeuvres, a spectacular seated dinner that was very intimate, and everything was executed well beyond what I expected! On top of it all, his interaction with all of the guests, talking about food, and even teaching people what he was doing was just remarkable. I look forward to working with Chef Eric for all my upcoming events.

Eric is a rockstar chef! We had a dinner party amongest friends, many of whom I wanted to impress. He cooked steak, veggies and dessert that was LAs finest. One would think it’s directly from the restaurant. The best thing about it was he did it from my kitchen. Everyone was very blown away by the whole setup. He not only made a very good impression, everyone was asking if he could work for them. A+ for Eric. We will definitely have you return.

Eric is a superb chef, and perfectly balances the skill needed to execute amazing cuisine, with the personality and energy to engage his clients. We've enjoyed having him in our home, feeding and entertaining our guests.

Working with Eric was a perfect experience from the very start. I was in charge of planning a New Years Eve weekend for a groups of friends. I wanted to have a special dinner one night - and was given a recommendation to work with Eric. From the beginning, he wanted to make sure that every detail was right. Eric initially listened to the concept and types of ingredients we wanted in our private meal. Eric took those details and provided for menu that he wanted feedback on to make sure we loved each and every course. Eric came by the house ahead to check what was avail tans what he needs for bring. He was perfectly prepared for the night of the dinner and it was amazing!! Everyone loved each and every dish. We had one beautiful and delicious course after another. Eric was wonderful to be around and a true pleasure. It was a wonderful experience and we hope to do it again soon!!!
