What You’ll Do

Create an elevated Italian menu and savor a true taste of Rome with Chef Chris.

Relish in the traditional flavors of Italy in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Chris as you learn how to handcraft signature dishes from appetizer to dessert that are well loved in Rome.

Begin by dicing heirloom tomatoes for authentic Roman bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil. Then, Chef Chris will show you how to make handmade fettuccine pasta paired with a silky carbonara sauce featuring cured pancetta. Next, you'll marinate zucchini with wine, imported vinegar and herbs, and layer a delectable espresso-infused tiramisu for dessert.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

After discovering his passion for cooking as an Italian language instructor at UC Berkeley, Chef Chris went on to be the co-founder of a culinary event business, specializing in regional Italian cooking, and then worked as a chef teaching cooking classes for corporate groups, cultivating a 5-star rating. Chef Chris now works with a company providing walking food tours of Little Italy as well as teaching his lauded cooking classes.

What a great experience!! We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. Chris was early and had everything we needed to create a wonderful meal. He is a great teacher and took the time to teach us why we did something versus just having us do it. The meal, cooking and conversation made this an A++ experience. We HIGHLY recommend Chef Chris and plan to do another class soon.

We had a blast learning new cooking techniques with Chef Chris and eating all the delicious food we made. He gave us great instructions and demos and then let us do the work. Chef Chris was so kind and personable and really helped us to learn new techniques. It was a great activity to do with friends or to meet new people. Thanks for welcoming us into your home!
