Amazing experience overall. Made ceviche, empanadas, arepas, and quinoa salad, and everything turned out great. The chef made the class fun, relaxed, and easy to follow, even for beginners. Favorite part was trying all the different South American flavors at the end. Definitely doing another class again soon.

My husband and I have been wanting to take a couple cooking class - we were visiting Washington DC for the week and was so happy we could get in with Chef Gustavo. He was a delight! We enjoyed the cooking class and the experience of a new way to cook! Chef Gustavo was an excellent host!

We had a wonderful time with Chef Gustavo. He was incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and confident, but also funny, approachable, and full of great energy. He guided us through complex Latin American fusion dishes and made them accessible, enjoyable, and surprisingly easy to tackle. Not only were the recipes fun to prepare, but the results were absolutely delicious. Throughout the evening, we chatted, laughed, and shared storiesâ€”it felt less like a cooking class and more like spending time with family. Chef Gustavo created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that put everyone at ease. His kitchen was the perfect setting for the experience. He had aprons ready for us, a beautifully set table, and a space that was comfortable, inviting, and completely nonjudgmental. We even got to practice a little Spanish with him, which made the evening even more memorable. I would highly recommend this experience to anyoneâ€”whether you're a complete beginner, an experienced home cook looking to improve your skills, or simply someone looking for a unique and fun night out. Our class with Chef Gustavo was a WONDERFUL experience. He is so kind and welcoming! Notably, I also am a symptomatic celiac and was really reaffirmed when he re-confirmed dietary restrictions and allergies day-of. Only one dish needed a slight modification and he did so thoughtfully and with ease. All of the food we made in the class was delicious and easy enough to replicate at home (with much thanks to Chef Gustavo)! I recommend everyone to take this class but especially folks who are gluten sensitive or Celiac - this one is a great one!

He also created a real sense of community among the eight of us, because he set it up as an experience where we would prepare a meal the same way a large family does it - by working together. The food was delicious, and WE did it!

Chef Gustavo is very patient and enjoys teaching. This class was devoted to Chilean food. I really appreciated the instruction on how to slice and dice bell peppers and garlic. There is no waste of the veggies if you do it his way. We learned how to stuff mussels with cheese and sausages, cook and mash corn, saute peppers and onions, put all of this together and mix in raw ground beef. The dessert was a delicious Leche Nevada--vanilla pudding like--that reminded me of my childhood, decades ago!
