Online Cooking Class - Authentic Fettuccine and Ravioli

Fettuccine and Ravioli. We were given this cooking experience as a gift and it was wonderful. Chef Davide was very patient and easy to work with. The food was delicious and recipes were fairly simple to prepare.

Our class was excellent. Chef Davide was a great instructor and was able to walk us through each step. The recipes were delicious. A great family or team building event.

Amazing class w great patient Chef Instructor! Actually made the fettuccini and ravioli and it was ‘the best dish I’ve ever made’ per my family!!!! I will definitely make these again and highly recommend Chec Davide!

This was my first virtual cooking class, and it lived up to expectations. Chef Davide was engaging and patient. It was impressive how he was able to give us guidance with our dish throughout the entire experience. It helped to have all the ingredients and cookware ready beforehand, but Chef did a great job ensuring we kept up with him and never felt lost.

Chef Davide showed us how to make fettuccini and ravioli. He gave explicit directions, showed us the techniques, and gave individual feedback to us regarding the consistency of the dough (after kneeding and again after rolling). The pasta and two sauces were delicious!

I feel the recipe ingredients and equipment list needs to be more specific for preparing before the class. Otherwise, everything was great, and chef Davide stayed involved with each person to make sure we were all on time.

We made ravioli and fettuccine with sauce. Davide was amazing at helping us understand what was going on while still keeping the class moving.

He was awesome!! He made ravioli look easy but explained it in a way that a novice could understand and replicate. The class was paced well and he gave very helpful feedback on our dish during the class!

We made fresh ravioli and ricotta cheese and fettuccini with a tomato and basil sauce. Davide was calm and prepared, and led confidently. The 90-min class went by quickly and we had a lot of fun learning throughout the class. The only reason I didn't give 5-stars was because some of the recipes were designed for 1-person, and others were designed for 2-people. This created a lot of scrambling for me during a jam-packed 90-min class, trying to ensure each dish was enough for 2-people. I also wish I would have been informed on how thin the pasta should be before cutting/preparing. My pasta was way to think and nearly inedible. The sauces were fantastic.

Chef Davide was friendly and engaging. He walked us through each step and made it easy and fun. And delicious.

I have taken two cooking classes with Chef Davide, one with my dad and one with my husband, and they have both been amazing. The instruction was thorough; he was very patient and personable. The food turned out amazing, I would definitely take another one of his classes.

Hi, culinary school has been a dream, working in a restaurant has not been. Lol For this class, i will say... i almost ate all the ravioli filling on its own. The flavor and taste is there. I've tried to make pasta twice on my own. The recipe that Chef Davide gives you is close to the same as what you can going online in terms of making pasta dough. But he can advise you on how to kneed and roll it. I'll be honest, I've tried a few times using an online video with a kitchenmade. My dough is always been super chewy. Rolling pasta dough is kind of an art. I definitely think. I took this class and I honestly know I'm over rolling. Chef Davide was around to stop me from making taffy. No joke. My pasta was not perfect, but it was much closer to fresh pasta, and much better than dry past. That's for sure. Plus the filling for the ravioli and the tomato sauce were really good. Thanks for your experise... I will try again, as art takes practice.

Chef Davide is the very best! We have taken two classes with him. He is very patient and detailed. He teaches in a way that makes what would normally be hard seem easy. He also seems very much into what he is doing and makes sure that every person in the class is getting attention. I don't know how he does it but he can see if your dough is too dry or not ha ha. He is our very favorite and we cannot wait to take another class with him. Highly recommend!

Fun class! Davide was knowledgeable and thorough, and very focused to keep the 6 of us on track to complete 5 recipes in 90 minutes. The recipes were written exactly as he worked through them, and included very simple ingredients. We managed, and my 16-yr-old son devoured both ravioli in butter sauce and fettuccini in tomato sauce in minutes, to rave reviews.

Our team had a great experience. Instructions were clear and Chef Davide took the time to make sure we were following along. We're thinking of making this a recurring event.

This is our third class with Chef Davide. As expected, it was a pleasure to cook with him. His instructions are clear and the recipes always turn out perfectly - although, we will need to continue building our skills on rolling out fresh pasta! It always amazes us how he can make such delicious food from simple ingredients. He adds to the class with a bit of history of Italy. Wonderful.

We had such a nice visit with Chef Davide. He taught us some things that made him smile and chuckle like I always wanted to know how to crack an egg open using only one hand! I will leave a tip happily but I want to save money for our next private class. Delaney, told me that what we made was vegetarian not vegan, the 9 year old seems to know the difference! She is a natural from birth vegetarian. She doesn't like tomatoes so next class we will try to leave that out if that is possible in Italian cooking! We did a class with our whole family. 9 people 3 cities. I didn't think there would be enough time to learn two whole recipes and make fresh pasta and get feedback and feel successful, but Chef Davide slayed like Yonce. Love the class, love chef Davide, appropriate amount of challenge, and lots of encouragement! Food turned out pretty good for our first try and definitely beginner friendly. It was a delicious meal with ingredients that were easy to get. My youngest son (fifteen years old) and I had a good time. It was the first time we have ever made pasta from scratch. It wasn't as hard as we thought it would be. We both felt confident to do it again on our own.

Our class was amazing!! Chef Davide was engaging, funny, and very knowledgeable. He gave us tips as we worked and gave each participant personal feedback. In an hour and a half, we made 2 delicious dishes from start to finish! I would definitely recommend this class!!!

He was a great teacher - clear with his instructions, great at answering questions, and kind about checking our progress along the way. Chef Davide led us through an intimate cooking class to make homemade pasta, sauce and raviolis. This was my first time doing something like this and we had a ton of fun! Chef Davide was sure to be clear about the ingredients and directions. He checked on us through each step and was able to give individual feedback to help us along (especially me when I struggled with my sticky dough!). Be prepared for a bit of a mess, but be more prepared to thoroughly enjoy your food & time with Chef Davide!

My first class and it was very good. My only comment is that trying to complete 4 different recipes is challenging for someone's first on-line class and first attempt at making pasta dough. This is compounded if you are attempting to cook for 4 people. Perhaps an introduction to making pasta dough would be a good suggestion for newcomers. Chef Davide was wonderful and did a remarkable job leading the class.

Chef Davide also does a great job of placing you in the moment with him in his small Italian village, giving you the history of the place while you cook. Chef Davide was incredible! Super interactive and genuinely wanted to get to know his participants and share his love of cooking with them. Not to mention, we made some delicious pasta! Recipes were simple yet still felt rewarding to complete. 10/10 recommend!

Chef Davide was great! He gave great instructions to help modify if there was one or two or 4 people attending. He added special tricks....like as soon as you see the garlic have the first bubble in the oil, remove or it will be bitter. He also let us personalize our flavors, from the herbs in the butter to the testing of the ravioli filling and how to adjust. Thank you--I'm looking forward to our next class together!

At each step, Chef Davide would ask each participant to show him their progress and would make suggestions along the way so you were never left wondering if you were doing it right. We had an amazing experience in Chef Davide's virtual Pasta Making cooking class! In just about 2 hours, we made 2 types of pasta (fettuccine and ravioli), two sauces and had enough food for a family of four! All of the dishes were flavorful and fresh tasting, and Chef Davide was a great instructor and was really good about giving feedback to all the participants so that our handmade pasta turned out well. This was my first class and I was skeptical but Davide was wonderful and helpful, making sure to examine each student’s work at steps along the process.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The event was outstanding, and my wife loved the experience. Chef Davide explained and demonstrated cooking techniques at the right level of detail. The course was very well paced, had a variety of recipes to cook, and lasted the perfect amount of time for us. And of course the food turned out delicious, which really shows Chef Davide's talent considering what a bad cook I am.

Chef Davide gave me more feedback and tips on how to make pasta from scratch than any course I've ever taken. It was the first time my own pasta actually turned out and tasted fantastic! Thank you. My retirement was supposed to involve travel and cooking classes, starting first with Italy! Unfortunately, that won't happen for awhile yet. This was the next best thing. The only minor comment I would have is whether Cozymeal could start indicating the length of the classes. This one was 2.5 hours, which was fine with me and, yes, I agree cooking should be a slow, rather sensory, process. But knowing it upfront would have helped me plan the day better. Minor comment from me...... it certainly does NOT detract from the overall experience! Thank you Chef Davide.

My husband and I enjoyed our class very much. The food was delicious and the online instruction with the chef was fantastic. He provided real time feedback to each person in the class which was a great way to learn. The ingredients list slightly differed from the recipe that is provided after purchase, so make sure to buy your class prior to shopping so that you get the accurate ingredients (ie tomato sauce listed initially in class description and diced tomatoes listed in actual recipe). The chef prepares food for one person but is very clear about what you need to do to prepare food for more than one person which is very helpful. It would be nice if he prepared food for two to slow him down just a little as it is easy to fall behind if you are preparing food for two people. Definitely make sure you have prepared all of your ingredients ahead of time as suggested. This was a great class. I would highly recommend it.

I purchased this class as a birthday gift for my lovely boyfriend Eric (a couple reviews below mine), and, since we are currently socially distanced from one another, I figured it would be fun if I signed up as well. I wasn't exactly sure how this would pan out over zoom, but it turned out to be so much fun! Davide was pleasantly upbeat, witty, helpful, and made it easy to follow along. Even though my dough was insistent on remaining sticky, with a bit of guidance, it finally cooperated and made for some delicious pasta. Being transported from NYC to Italy for a couple of hours was a wonderful and tasty way to spend a Sunday afternoon! *As some other reviews have mentioned, I would definitely suggest prepping everything in advance, including having your pots and pans out and ready to use.

I did find it a bit confusing to have the ingredients listed separately for the dishes but we were supposed to use all of one to make the pasta so I ended up with 1/2 the pasta and a bowl of unused flour due to that. It would also be helpful to get a list of the equipment needed. I didn’t have the right sauce pan. The same happened to a friend of mine in the class. We would do it again. It was as fun and the food ended up being very good.

We had a great time in this class, the pasta was great. We would have loved to have more time to interact with the participants. That is part of the fun is getting to know the class as well.

Learned so much! Ended with a meal I savored and take pride in. Pacing and support made me feel successful. Also appreciated the music in the background, and the dog barks, too (I'm a dog person!).

Absolutely loved this class! I had such a fun time learning a new skill that I plan to use to make dinners for years to come.

Chef Davide was extraordinary, we really enjoyed the Authentic Fettuccine and Ravioli class.

I really enjoyed the entire experience! The pasta dishes were relatively simple to make and SO tasty! It really boosted my confidence in making fresh pasta - something my daughter really loves. Thank you so much. :-)

Overall, he did a really good job. A heads up that we should have made or ravioli dough into a square (versus the triangle I ended up with) would have made the process smoother.

Chef Davide was engaging and very easy to understand. Over 2+ hours he patiently walked us through transforming simple ingredients into two delicious meals. He made it easy to understand each step and called out key things to look out, which is much appreciated in a virtual class. Highly recommend this class for a date night or group cooking class!

The ingredients were pretty basic but they were absolutely delicious. Chef Davide took the time to show each of us how to make the pasta like a professional. Great recipes and great focus on the details. Highly recommend this class.

Chef Davide was so pleasant, patient and fun. The cozymeal site said the class would be only 75 minutes, but Chef Davide spent more than two hours with us. Many laughs and some inside stories about how things happen in a professional kitchen. The recipe turned out great. We will do this again someday.

Really nice guy, was super patient when I struggled with the dough. Wish the connection on Zoom was a bit more stable so we could talk more easily but overall really awesome experience. Best carbonara ever.

I can't say how amazing this cooking class was!! Chef Davide was exceptional and very interactive with our group of 10. Loved his singing and history of his town in Italy he gave us. He created a great vibe and made all feel comfortable. AND the food we all cooked was fabulous!! We all couldn't believe we all cook it. I recommend him to anyone from beginner to Immediate, 10 stars!

This was an absolutely fabulous experience! This was our first class so we were nervous and unsure how well it would work. Chef Davide was knowledgeable and very patient, attentive and patient with us and the pace was perfect. We had a great time and have already booked more classes.

All over Zoom and from Italy! Chef has a very good sense of humour - and sings well! We held a virtual cooking birthday party and the birthday boy had an amazing time. Plus we had a wonderful dinner and now know how to make excellent homemade ravioli! I would absolutely recommend!
