This beginner-friendly cooking class is perfect for anyone who loves macarons without the stress of the oven. Hosted at a lively local brewery and led by Chef Amal, the experience focuses on technique, flavor and hands-on fun.

The session begins with a selection of premade French macaron shells, allowing the focus to remain on mastering the art of the perfect fill. You'll learn how to pipe ganache with precision and assemble each macaron. Chef Amal will guide you through every step, offering tips for achieving the ideal texture and structure. Walk away with a box of custom-made macarons and the confidence to recreate these elegant sweets at home.

Booked the class Make French Macarons at a Wine Bar with Chef Amal in Atlanta (Upper Westside)

Chef Amal was great and she has incredible knowledge on baking macarons. The CozyMeal site does a disservice to the class by overselling the experience. For this particular class, you do not actually bake the macarons, you just simply learn about how to bake them and then you also learn simple techniques like piping. Be mindful when booking that if the class is being held in a restaurant or wine bar it will be the less hands-on version since there is no kitchen access. Absolutely five stars to Chef Amal, nothing at all negative towards her, as she is also aware of this issue with the website and how it lists her different classes.

Booked the class Make French Macarons at a Wine Bar with Chef Amal in Atlanta (Upper Westside)

Chef Amal was great and her knowledge and cooking skills were wonderful. Unfortunately the space and class size were not ideal. The class was sold as an intimate wine and macaron making class. â€œSip, swirl and bake your way through a hands on classâ€. There was no wine sipping and very little hands on. The space was too small for the number of students, very hard to hear chef (a microphone would have helped), little hands on as too many participants. Lots of standing around at the end as the chef baked and then assembled macrons. I learned a lot but the class would have been much more enjoyable with less people. I think giving each participant 3-4 macarons at the end and letting them assemble and then box would have been much better. The chef did not need to set up a whole display for social media before participants collected a few macrons to take home. There was no relaxing ant the end to enjoy macaron with a glass of wine. I know the change of venue was not the chefs fault, but donâ€™t sell the class on one experience and then change it. Again, the chef was great but was overall disappointed with the class. Could have easily been so much better.
