What You’ll Do

Master the delicate art of crafting authentic Japanese and Asian dishes.

Japanese cuisine is known for its cultural importance and the methodical care with which it is prepared. In this cooking class, Chef Diervion will provide expert knowledge on the delicate steps needed to create these incredibly flavorful dishes. You'll never need to order takeout again after learning how to prepare beef onigiri. Then, sautГ© beef to perfection with soy sauce, eel sauce and topped with green onions. For dessert, Chef Diervion will show you how to make Japanese coffee jelly with chocolate ganache.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

From teaching at his alma mater, Louisiana Culinary Institute, to mentoring high school students, Chef Diervion is a natural educator. He will teach you how to tastefully blend elements from a variety of food traditions.

Chef Diervion has a love for teaching culinary. He is very descriptive when he is walking you through a process. I learned from him how to make a homemade hollandaise which is a sauce I have always been wanting to learn. His friendly personality makes you feel welcome and comfortable.
