Learn how to concoct three bourbon cocktails that are simple in recipe, yet complex in flavor.

During this live and interactive online mixology class with Mixologist Anthony, you will learn the tips, tricks and techniques needed to craft three classic bourbon cocktails. Some of the recipes you can look forward to adding to your repertoire include a refreshing Kentucky mule, a sophisticated New York sour cocktail and a historic old fashioned with orange and aromatic bitters.

Ingredients


One whole orange for garnish
One whole lemon for garnish
Simple syrup, 3 oz
Fresh lemon juice, 1 oz
Fresh lime juice, 1 oz
Vanilla extract
Bitters
Bourbon or rye whiskey, 8 oz
Ginger beer, 4 oz
Red wine, 2 oz
Bucket of ice
Egg white, optional
One large ice cube, optional
Cocktail cherries, optional

Kitchen Equipment


Cocktail shaker or jar with lid
Jigger or shot glass
Teaspoon
3 drinking glasses


Prep Work Details

Please prep lemon juice, lime juice and simple syrup beforehand. This will save you time during the class. Simple syrup can either be purchased or made at home using the following steps: Add a half cup of sugar and a half cup of water to a pot. Put on a medium flame and stir until the sugar crystals fully dissolve. If you like, you can put your simple syrup in the fridge to cool down before class.

Professor Baker was great! Such a cool experience. He gave lots of tip and tricks on how to balance out delicious cocktails as well as background history of the drink origins. Would definitely recommend!
