WHAT YOU’LL DO

Master saffron marinades and Persian herbs in this relaxed cooking class with Chef Jay.

In this cooking class, you'll cook alongside Chef Jay and learn how saffron, lemon and onion marinade give Persian food its signature flavor. You'll mix the marinade yourself, then grill your own kabobs until they're juicy and lightly charred.

Next, you'll cook fluffy basmati rice with saffron and roast tomatoes and seasonal vegetables with olive oil and Persian herbs. To finish, you'll stir together mast-o-moosir, a thick yogurt with dried shallots and Persian spices, then sit down to enjoy the full Persian meal you made. Journey Culinary and chef Deborah Dupuis hosted a private cooking class for my family group of 6. They readily helped arrange a menu alternative to meet a dietary restriction for one of our group. Chef Deborah was friendly and informative as we moved through meal preparation. The Italian meal we created was delicious! The space was intimate and we very much enjoyed the activity together as a family. We plan to go back and we recommend Journey Culinary to others.
