Looking for a unique cooking class? A masterclass on Gullah cuisine is a culinary experience not to be missed. Gullah-style cooking includes layers of ingredients, flavors and cooking techniques. Start off with a classic cornbread, baked to perfection in a cast iron skillet. Follow that up with a succulent shrimp pilau, with Carolina gold rice, along with a side of collard greens made with coconut milk for a rich and unique flavor. Finally, end your dive into Gullah cuisine with a traditional sweet potato pone.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

She is also the former owner of popular restaurant in Brooklyn.

A wonderful evening! Every part was perfect and chef Shelley was a terrific host, and a spectacular person to hang out with. Plus, the food was unbelievable.

Chef Shelley did a private class for my team of 7, and we had a really fun time. We learned some good cooking tips, made a delicious meal from the Gullah cuisine, and enjoyed ourselves. Couldn't have asked for a better team bonding event!
