Cooking Class - Festival of Dumplings

What You’ll Do

Celebrate the diversity of tastes and textures in a selection of dumplings from international cuisines.

Learn how various global cultures prepare and enjoy their take on dumplings in this informative hands-on cooking class. Prepare pierogi, European dumplings made with mashed potatoes and served with sour cream and caramelized onions. Then, create gnudi, Tuscan dumplings made from smooth ricotta and flavored with tomato butter dressing. Finish up with shumai, a well-known Chinese dumpling stuffed with mushrooms and pork, served with a chile-based dipping sauce.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

Meet your chef


Chef Michael emigrated to the U.S. from Romania with his family at the age of seven. He followed his family's culinary interests and found joy in the kitchen, with his grandmother and his parents leading the way. After working in various restaurants through high school and beyond, he developed a taste for finer cuisine. His resume grew to include event catering as well as teaching cooking classes, for which Chef Michael holds an abiding passion.
