My passion for seasonal cuisine evolved at age seventeen. When my father became seriously ill he was forced to cut out much of what constituted his regular diet. I took it upon myself to rehabilitate my family’s diet reducing salt, fat, and sugars. I began cooking seasonally and from the source. Such practices helped not only extend my father’s life but transformed my life in the process.
