Chef Sydney brings a wealth of knowledge to your kitchen in this hands-on class.

Chef Sydney returns from a summer in Sicily, where she spent her days taking cooking classes on traditional Sicilian methods and flavors.

The class begins with learning how to prepare a sweet, salty, and tangy traditional Sicilian caponata to be served with sliced Italian bread. You will then handcraft pasta dough and roll it into macaroni shapes by using the old-fashioned Italian grandmother method. Finish off the class with a sweet treat: a Sicilian sesame cookie with a lemony center surrounded by a crunchy sesame seed crust.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Syd was awesome. Beyond accommodating (happily waited as some guests arrived late), and put up with our wine-filled lively crew with tons of patience and silliness. Food was yummy. Totally recommend!

Had a blast with Sydney for our Valentin'e Day dinner! She did a great job explaining and teaching some of the cooking methods while giving us enough leeway to leisurely enjoy the process. I was nervous about having someone in my home and the potential for it to feel awkward but Sydney was an absolute pleasure and I can't wait to try another meal soon!
