Sushi Making Class - Sushi Adventures in Chicago

Date night with my boyfriend and Chef Cocoa was a lovely experience. I gifted him this Cozymeal sushi class, and we had so much fun prepping and rolling sushi. It turned into a very filling dinner — we even had to take some to go. The class was well organized and easy to follow, with a great group of people. The ambiance at Chef Andy’s place was great, plus easy parking. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend :)

Chef Andy put the art of sushi right at my fingertips! He geared the class to everyone’s skill set and made me feel comfortable. He provided additional kitchen skills for the everyday cook.

Great experience! My nephew (15 yo) and I came in with no background and pulled off some pretty good sushi thanks to Chef Andy's guidance and chill attitude.

Wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but the second we met Andy, we knew we were in for a fun night! Andy was wonderful! We had such a great time learning how to make sushi along with other cooking lessons! It’s evident that Andy knows his stuff and seemed really happy to share his knowledge. I highly recommend Andy for this experience!!

Chef Andy's sushi making class exceeded expectations. I've only attempted to make sushi one other time early on in the pandemic to develop new hobbies/skills and failed. Knowing what I know now from Chef Andy (and Chef Emily), I'm ready to give it another shot! Chef taught us basic knife handling skills, tested our palates, and, of course, how to make a simply delicous maki roll. Early on in our class, it was evident to us that Chef Andy is really dedicated to his craft; which was nothing short of passionate and made the entire experience immersive and all the more enjoyable. Chef's apartment provided all of us with plenty of room and the atmosphere was most comforting. Thank you for teaching us what to look for when we order sushi at restaurants, how to tell what sushi grade fish is, and for recommending the types of knives to buy without breaking the bank. We certainly look forward to signing up for future classes to dive into other cuisines. Thank you for everything!
