What You'll Do

Learn how to handle dough and steam dim sum correctly.

Experience the fun of dim sum in this hands-on cooking class in Carmel (Indianapolis), plus take home a Dim Sum at Home Kit. With guidance from Chef Randy or a resident chef, you’ll make pork and shiitake dumplings (siu mai), Chinese broccoli with garlic and oyster sauce (gai lan) and steamed shrimp rice rolls (cheung fun). You’ll practice key skills like making wrapper dough, folding and pleating dumplings and steaming for the perfect texture. Finish with mango pudding with coconut cream.
