Cooking Class - Banh Mi Sandwiches 101

What You'll Do

Go beyond your typical sub sandwich with spicy and savory Vietnamese bánh mì.

Bánh mì sandwiches are a renowned Vietnamese specialty consisting of a baguette stuffed with various meats and vegetables. In this cooking class with Chef Ricky, you'll learn how to create your own bánh mì sandwiches completely from scratch.

First, you'll prepare shrimp spring rolls filled with vegetables, herbs and vermicelli noodles. Then Chef Ricky will teach you how to make bánh mì with lemongrass chicken, pickled vegetables, cilantro and spicy mayonnaise, and sweet potato fries on the side. Finish with a favorite Asian dessert — mango sticky rice.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We’ve attended a couple of Ricky’s classes, and he genuinely cares about teaching and the needs of his students. He can answer whatever questions you need to know about Asian cuisine, and if there is time, he can show or discuss a variation on a recipe. Truly wonderful! He will change the way you cook and eat.

Chef Ricky was incredible! This was a gift for my wife's birthday and we had such an incredible time. Chef helped us put together a delicious A5 Wagyu full course meal. Aside from the great food, he is a great story teller and made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Would highly recommend this experience for a special night and we look forward to booking with him again soon and bringing some friends along.

We made A5 Wagyu. Chef Ricky was amazing. He is fun, interesting, so knowledgeable, and very patient. We had an excellent time. I highly recommend this unique experience!
