After graduating culinary school, Chef Ryan found himself working in some of the best sushi bars in California. Ten years later, after making a name for himself, Chef Ryan was ready for a new challenge. After winning a competition, he opened his own restaurant with two friends who share his same passion for Japanese cuisine, perfecting their craft, and food philosophy hinged on traditional techniques with modern flavors.

Chef Ryan was great! My husband and I had so much fun learning about Filipino food and making such a delicious meal. Ryan was patient with us and made everything super comfortable and friendly. We ended up with a good amount of leftovers, too, so we got to have our dishes again the next night for dinner. I'd highly recommend this class to a couple looking for a fun and relaxing evening with yummy food!

Chef Ryan walked us through the whole culinary experience like the professional he is, clearly explaining every step with humor and giving us tips for when we cook at home. Everything we made was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, and we canâ€™t wait to try to replicate it! As a bonus, he even rolled with it when we (accidentally) showed up half an hour early. Wonderful experience, will definitely be booking again. Thank you!

Chef Ryan kindly greeted us at his apartment... Everything was all set up and ready to go! He patiently walked us through each recipe and was super informative about all the ingredients and preparation. My mom and I enjoyed every second. We loved the unique flavors that Chef Ryan used and how he incorporates his own self expression into his dishes. A true artist! I would highly recommend this class.

Me and my husband had a great time cooking Filipino food with Chef Ryan. For dessert we made a cheesecake and it was delicious. We took leftovers home and finished it all the next day. Weâ€™ll def be back for Chef Ryanâ€™s sushi class. Highly recommend!

Chef Ryan in my book gets 5 stars. Our experience learning to make sushi was all we expected and more. Worth every penny. He was personable, knowledgeable and made the evening great fun for all of us. The dishes he made for us to accompany the 3 kinds of sushi rolls he taught us to make were delicious. We all wanted the recipes. We hope to do this again with other friends.

I booked a Japanese themed cozymeal with chef Ryan as a surprise for my husband's birthday. We arrived to his apartment, where he then guided us to the spacious community room. All of the ingredients and tools were setup for us to get started, as we turned on some fun music to cook to. Overall, the food was amazing and extremely fresh. I left SO FULL and we got to take home the leftovers! I learned new techniques and how to work with crab. Chef Ryan was professional, knowledgeable, and also down to earth and friendly. Thanks for the fun night, chef!
