In the bowl of a food processor, add the pitted Medjool dates, walnuts, sunflower seeds, cocoa powder, almond butter and salt.
Pulse the mixture several times until the mixture is chopped.
Then process the mixture until a smooth mixture forms. It should turn into a clump.
Line an 8x8 square pan with parchment paper. Smooth the mixture into the pan and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate until cold, about 30 minutes.
Remove the pan from the refrigerator and slice into bars.
Serve cold for the best experience. Enjoy!
Notes:
- Old Medjool dates tend to be tough and dry. Make sure to use fresh Medjool dates that are moist and chewy.
