Booked the class Pizza in the Oven with Chef Mordechai

Chef Motti was amazing - he arrived with everything needed to jump right into the class. We asked for more focus on making the pizzas vs the other recipes, so he brought those delicious dishes already made. The toppings he brought were top-tier - two different tomato sauces he made from fresh tomatoes, homemade bechamel, three cheeses, fresh herbs, sausage, vegetables, etc. We dove in to hands-on sessions where he taught us about making two kinds of dough and forming the pizzas. Then we all learned how to get them in and out of the oven (we used our wood-burning Ooni and the electric one he brought). My husband had been having challenges in our Ooni with the dough sticking to the peel when putting them in the oven and topping falling off when he removed them, and Chef gave him tips on preventing that and recommendations for better tools (I had bought an Ooni brand perforated peel and it didn't get enough of the flour off the bottom). We made sooo many pizzas, so we got a lot of practice, and had leftovers to feed some hungry neighbors later on. It was a fun and relaxing afternoon spent chatting, cooking and eating - our teen boys even enjoyed it. We look forward to finding another excuse to cook with Chef Motti!

Chef Mordechai is amazing. My pizza making cooking class with Chef Mordechai was the best cooking class I ever had. The class is fun and very hands on. Chef brought a lot of extra materials for everyone to have plenty to practice and nailed the techniques and everything tasted amazing. Chef also agree to show us how to use my own wood burning pizza oven and share lots of tips. I will definitely recommend this class to everyone!

We had such an awesome class with Chef Moti! He came to our apartment and was so organized with the recipes and needed equipment that we didn't have. The Mediterranean food we made through his guidance SO delicious, truly some of the best med food I've had (and big portions, enough for leftovers :)). He was very accommodating with dietary restrictions, collaborating with me to come up with a menu that worked for our group. He created a fun atmosphere that my family all enjoyed, we shared laughs and stories of life. He taught us cooking techniques that I'm excited to take into our everyday cooking. We had a most enjoyable cooking experience last night with Chef Lorenzo. He put us to work prepping much of the food and supervised as we cooked. He talked me through how to cook octopus which he brought to the house already cooked purely in the interest of time. I kind of hoped the octopus salad would be the top item for the night. It was. An added feature was that as we dined on the dishes he had us make, he washed the dishes. Wow! Five stars out of five for Chef Lorenzo and his Med. cooking class! Rich in San Leandro

You need to improve your communication. I became very apprehensive when I sent 3 messages via your website to the chef and no answer til the afternoon of the day before the event. Then he shows up 25 min late with no forewarning. Very embarrassing and cause of anxiety for me. Lorenzo was charming, very knowledgable about the food prep and cooking, very fun. I did give him a tip as he was leaving.

It was a wonderful experience! ? I did a birthday surprise for my boyfriend. He loves cooking. Thought that it would be a group lesson, but then was surprised that kitchen is at chefs home and a class is private ? The process of cooking was fun and nice. John explained everything very clear. So we cooked paella and a dessert (which name I forgot). Really loved paella cooking and tasting. But the dessert wasnâ€™t my style.

We had a great time celebrating my girlfriendâ€™s birthday with John! His place was very cozy and clean- he was very welcoming and shared tons of funny stories with us. We took the paella class, John was an amazing teacher, and allowed us to be as hands on as we wanted. He showed us his garden which was bountiful with beautiful flowers, herbs and fresh fruits. We loved the experience so much, it was our first cooking class ever and it was definitely one of the best dates (and most unique) we had! I had a wonderful time with Chef Valerie in her gorgeous kitchen last Saturday with my family as we were shown the proper methods to make and cook pasta, sauces and a fabulous fruit galette. We all found her very informative and she has a lovely, calm nature. It is clear she has a passion for cooking and good food. I look forward to trying out her recipes in my own kitchen! My sister and I organized the event for our mother's 80th birthday gift. She was absolutely thrilled to have a unique opportunity to cook with 4 of her 6 grandchildren (who are all young adults and learning to cook for themselves now). Chef Valerie was a wonderful host, who welcomed us into her home to teach the pasta making course. I was hoping that it would be a little more hands on but I totally understand given the space of the kitchen. She methodically went through all the steps and didn't hesitate to answer any questions we had about what she was doing. She gave us the recipes afterwards which we were excited about, and we had a wonderful time meeting new people while we ate the food we made. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend Chef Valerie and her class especially for couples! It was also nice that this pasta class was vegetarian friendly.

I thoroughly enjoyed Chef Johnâ€™s â€œNative Foods of The Americasâ€ class. John has a wide breadth of knowledge about ingredients from both North and South America. He went in depth on how they were used in the past as well as how we were going to apply them to the recipes he invented. My girlfriend and I cooked the dish again last night and it turned out great. Definitely walked away from this class with a better understanding of how to tackle this style of cooking.

It was great experience working with chef Motti to learn how to make pizzas. Chef Motti is well- prepared for the class. He brought many different ingredients for us to make a variety of pizza. He also demonstrated how to use his portable oven to make pizzas within 2 min. I was very impressed by the way he made pizzas, super fast and delicious. Not only demonstrate how to make pizzas and other dishes, he also gave us background of pizzas, such as the origins of pizza flour, the key elements of a good oven for pizza, how to make your own starter for dough, the difference between feast dough and the sour dough. He gave us many opportunities to get hands-on experience to make pizzas on our own. I would certainly recommend chef Motti for his pizza class. It would be a delightful way to learn some good skills.

We had an absolutely amazing class with Chef Motti! I got this experience as a birthday gift for my husband and he said it was the coolest birthday gift! Chef Motti brought over such fresh ingredients and we had an incredible time making pizzas with him. He taught us so much in terms of making the dough, techniques for stretching it, how to properly place the pizzas in the oven, etc. Chef Motti was so kind and patient in answering any and all questions we had, and he was such a delight to spend time with. And to top it all off, the pizzas (and all the other food) were SO tasty!!! Some of the best pizza I've ever had. And we had plenty for leftovers! (He was also so efficient and thorough with all the clean-up after the cooking.) I would HIGHLY recommend this class, or any other experiences, with Chef Motti.

Truly a 10/10 class. Chef Mordechai is the best! This was such a fun experience filled with great food, wonderful company, and valuable learnings. I recently attended Chef Lorenzo's Cooking Class on Signature Italian Cuisine and it was an absolute delight! From start to finish, the experience was authentic and truly felt like a trip to Italy. Chef Lorenzo was an excellent host and his passion for cooking was evident in every dish he prepared. He shared stories about his grandmother, who was a great influence on his love of cooking, and it was clear that he has a wealth of knowledge about Italian cuisine. The class itself was very hands-on, with each participant getting the chance to help prepare and cook the dishes. Chef Lorenzo was very patient and gave clear instructions, so even those who were new to cooking were able to follow along and create delicious meals. One of the highlights of the class was trying Chef Lorenzo's grandmother's recipes, which were absolutely delicious. It was a unique and special touch that really added to the authenticity of the experience. Overall, I highly recommend Chef Lorenzo's Cooking Class on Signature Italian Cuisine. Chef Lorenzo is by far the best host Iâ€™ve ever had! Chef Lorenzo is extremely outgoing and knowledgeable about cooking. There was not one awkward moment with him as conversations changed from cooking to other topics with ease. By far the best cooking class my wife and I ever had because of his hospitality and wisdom of cooking as he can explain how to use ingredients and why to use those ingredients.
