What is the Most Expensive Tequila in the World?
If you’re wondering “what is the most expensive bottle of tequila?” then allow us to enlighten you! The world’s most expensive tequila is the Tequila Ley .925 Diamante, and it even holds the Guinness World Record for the most expensive bottle of liquor sold.
So you may be wondering, “Well, how much is the most expensive bottle of tequila?” The answer to that question is that a single bottle of Ley .925 Diamante sells for the outlandish price of $3.5 million.
What makes this tequila so expensive? The first factor to consider is that one bottle of Ley .925 Diamante is distilled using carefully selected 100% blue Weber Agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco before aging for seven years in French oak barrels. The second factor is the bottle in which the tequila is stored. The bottle, designed by Jose Davalos Mejia, was crafted from five pounds of pure platinum and 4,100 white diamonds. This is no ordinary tequila, for sure.
