What You'll Do

Plan a five-day culinary world tour for your teen in this cooking series.

Designed for ages 12 and up, this hands-on cooking series in McLean takes teens on a five-day culinary journey around the world. Guided by Chef Charles or a professional chef instructor, students will explore global cuisines while practicing advanced techniques like braising, marinating, pan-frying, sauce building and dough shaping. From Filipino adobo and Italian pasta to Mexican tacos and Mediterranean favorites, this cooking series in McLean helps teens build confidence with bold flavors and real kitchen skills.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

Really fun and busy class making pad Thai, deep fried lemongrass corn fritters, shrimp curry, and enjoying coconut rice afterwards, in a group of 12. It was nice to review knife skills as well. Great date or special occasion activity

Our family of 3 (including a teen son) really enjoyed this class. The recipes were easy to figure out and make, and it's nice to have the book to refer to the 3 things we made, as well as all of the other content. Chef Kelley was very helpful, friendly, and encouraging with our son!

What a great class. From the beginning with regard to explaining the different variations that we were going to make. Guiding us in the preparing of the ingredients and working with us in the cooking of the ingredients and how it all comes together . The end result the best getting to eat what we made. Delicious. *This review has nothing to do with the Chef Charles.* Our lesson was canceled today. We had called ahead that morning and had been told that the class was still going to happen, despite the weather etc. We drove all the way out to it on a Sunday morning and had not been contacted by anyone at Cozymeal that our lesson was canceled because of technological difficulties they were having that were confusing they tried to explain to us. They said they had connectivity issues and electricity issues. This was a Christmas present to my husband and it was terribly disappointing that they canceled and did not offer to reschedule. We were supposedly given a refund. Will not rebook.

Class is good for beginners. Ramen noodles were good. Eggs were inconsistent. Mine was undercooked and my partners was hard boiled. Instructions were a bit fast. Final product tasted fine but we did not do our own broths. We also did not get instructor that we signed up for. A bit disappointing in the end.

The chef was nice but I didnâ€™t feel like I learned how to use the knife properly. I did not receive much feedback and had no idea if I was learning anything. I did get to practice using a nice sharp knife but not sure the skills are transferable to my home kitchen.
