Explore the time-honored traditions of French cuisine with Chef Joshua Elias.

In this interactive cooking class, you will create iconic dishes rooted in the revered traditions of French cuisine. Along the way, a knowledgeable local chef guides you through the foundational techniques and cultural context behind each classic recipe.

Start by assembling a Niçoise salad – layering seasonal vegetables, soft-boiled egg and anchovy while learning how French cuisine lets quality ingredients speak for themselves. Next, build a chicken fricassée from scratch, browning the chicken and finishing a rich cream and mushroom sauce with patience and precision. The class closes with an apple tart – blind-baking a pastry shell and caramelizing apples to a golden, fragrant finish. Book this French cooking class today.

We had a totally plant based meal; an interesting olive tapenade over sourdough bread, delicious soup, roasted vegetables over mashed celeriac, an a coconut creme with red plums and pistachios. I learned many things about how to bring out flavors and how to mix flavors. There were four of us and we all had an outstanding time. Chef Joshua was a brilliant, kind and interesting teacher.

He was very nice to talk to and we came away with some awesome new recipes, a ton of restaurant recommendations, and reading material to understand how and why certain foods are prepared. The cooking class was great! My wife and I really enjoyed learning from Chef Joshua about how to make pasta. We were curious students of the game and he answered all of our questions about the pasta-making experience. We made gnocchi a few days after his visit based on his guidance and it turned out excellent. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an interest in learning more or honing their craft.

There was a mixup with scheduling. My daughter set up a lesson for 1/5/24 and gave it to me for Christmas. When I tried to redeem the gift card, I couldnâ€™t find the scheduled lesson. I did online chat and explained I was to have chef Elias on 1/5 at 6pm. They sent me a link and I confirmed appointment but I didnâ€™t notice that they changed the date. He showed up on 12/29 when I was out of town. My wife explained that it was supposed to be 1/5 and he said no problem, I will return next week. Except he did not show. My daughter paid $200 for nothing. I have to pay again to get lesson. I am very disappointed and would never recommend this service to anyone!!!
