Cooking Class - Gluten-Free Sushi Classics

What You’ll Do

Learn how to properly roll sushi, make sushi rice and much more with Chef Ricky.

You'll learn how to make three types of vegan, gluten-free sushi in this sushi-making class with Chef Ricky. Each roll features unique ingredients for a special tasting experience.

First, you'll prepare a vegan "tuna" tataki featuring watermelon and sweet soy glaze. After cooking the perfect sticky sushi rice, you'll prepare fillings for each sushi roll, including jackfruit, avocado, eggplant and more, and Chef Ricky will show you professional techniques to properly roll sushi. Finally, you'll prepare (then enjoy!) traditional mango sticky rice.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Do not think twice about booking with Chef Ricky. To say the least…we were so sad at the end of our class. We didnt want to leave. His hospitality, his knowledge and wisdom and ability to TEACH with such a kind heart was everything to us. I took my husband a a surprise to celebrate our wedding anniversary after a friend had done a class with her ladies as a ladies night. Chef Ricky is literally perfect for all occasions. What a wonderful evening! Chef Ricky was knowledgeable, patient, and personable. Total hands on experience from prepping the stock and ingredients to hand making the noodles and adding the final torch to the duck and pork belly. The food was delicious and was a wonderful overall evening. Can’t recommend chef Ricky enough! Will be making my own ramen soon!
