What You’ll Do

Craft you own crunchy tempura creations sure to satisfy any sushi lover.

In this intermediate-level, hands-on sushi-making class with Chef Alejandro, you will learn how to prepare a modern, yet traditional four-course menu of tempura sushi and more.

Chef Alejandro will begin this class by sharing a few tips and trade secrets for selecting the best ingredients and choosing the freshest fish for homemade sushi. Then, you will learn how to prepare a tempura vegetable appetizer, an uramaki shrimp and avocado tempura roll, a salmon tempura roll with cream cheese and avocado and mochi ice cream for dessert.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Alejandro is a sushi itamae bringing more than a decade of professional culinary experience to the table. Chef Alejandro first learned the Japanese art of sushi making in Venezuela. Fascinated by this multidisciplinary craft, he went on to study sushi making in three more countries before settling in the U.S. Today, Chef Alejandro can be found teaching sushi-making classes and hosting private events.
