What You’ll Do

Join Chef Vivian and Michi for a class teaching hand-rolled sushi techniques.

Learn how to make authentic, homemade sushi under the guidance of two professional chefs, including basic sushi preparation techniques, as well as how to source and choose high-quality ingredients.

Begin the hands-on class with tofu miso soup, then turn your attention to sushi. First, you'll prepare temaki made with cucumber, avocado, carrots and mushrooms, and rolled into a cone shape, then craft an Alaskan roll featuring smoked salmon, cream cheese and scallions. Finish your sushi-focused meal with Japanese double-baked sweet potatoes — the perfect combination of sweet potatoes, milk, eggs and sugar.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

From the second I walked through the door Chefs Vivian and Michi were so warm and welcoming. I don’t think we stopped talking the entire class besides when we stopped to eat the delicious sushi we made. Vivian and Michi are so sweet and so knowledgeable, we couldn’t have asked for better teachers! I booked the secrets of sushi class with my friend for a girls night and we had the best time! We will be back again!

WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Chefs Vivian and Michi were incredible hosts, chefs, and instructors? The session was hands-on and on and lots of fun, plus, the food was delicious. We went for our anniversary and we're already looking for another reason to book another session.

This was our first time using Cozymeal and what an exceptional experience it was. Chef Vivian and Michi were over the top amazing. They were very nice and helpful with everything. They taught us how to make great sushi rolls! Their instructions and fresh ingredients made it easy and simple to learn and follow along. The atmosphere was inviting, their home was very humble and quaint. The backyard offered an exquisite ambiance which was perfect for enjoying our incredible sushi menu. The whole experience was 5 star plus, thanks to 2 incredible and talented chefs. We are so glad we had this experience and look forward to doing it again! Highly recommended! A must-do for anyone!!!
