Cooking Class - Classic Mardi Gras Fare

What You’ll Do

Come along with Chef Rochelle for a taste of some Mardi Gras favorites.

Capture the color and energy of New Orleans during Mardi Gras with this culinary collection of Louisiana classics. Imagine strolling down Bourbon Street with jazz music playing, colorful floats going by and the scent of the holy trinity — onions, celery and bell peppers — in the air.

Begin with crispy crab cakes and a zesty remoulade dipping sauce, then learn how to prepare gumbo, a spicy stew with chicken and sausage enjoyed over rice. No trip to New Orleans would be complete without beignets, those sugar-dusted pillows of perfection.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

My wife booked this class as part of my 35th birthday celebration. We had an awesome time. The food was amazing especially the chicken and sausage gumbo.
