Very sweet and one of the best date nights we’ve ever been on

Such a pleasure meeting Chef Deb tonight! What an amazing experience! She invited us into her lovely home where we cooked a delicious Authentic Mexican meal. It was just my husband and I, so it was a super cool intimate and interactive evening. Can’t wait to book our next one! Thank you so much for the company Chef Deb! We love you and will be back. ?

Chef Deb was a wonderful teacher with a beautiful space to create a delicious dinner. I was visiting my daughter in Austin and was looking for a fun creative experience. We learned how to spatchcock a chicken, which was a skill I was wanting to learn. I now feel more fearless with a chicken and a knife! I would highly recommend Chef Deb for any of her classes and would take another class from her the next time I am visiting my daughter!

Chef Deb is an amazing teacher with a lovely personality. Her menu is fun, colorful, and super delicious! She will teach you culinary skills—from making homemade gnocchi to making the perfect herb-flavored fish filet—in the comfort of your own home. She's sure to give you plenty of ideas on how to entertain for your next party. Five stars all the way!

We had a fabulous time cooking with Deb. She provided a great atmosphere and set up individual prep stations where we work independently. She was welcoming and made the whole evening a joy and a unique experience. Her home is literally minutes from downtown and in the cutest neighborhood in East Austin. We decided on a whim to do this and so glad we did!

Ms. Deb is phenomenal. Not only did she teach us how to prepare the meal but she gave us tips on sourcing the ingredients and how to stock a simple pantry etc. We were so impressed with our completed meal. I would highly recommend for any special occasion, or just as a great date night.

I really wanted to give my bridesmaid’s an event to remember and contacted several other cooking schools in the Austin area. Though several had good reviews they were lacking the unique and intimate facility (commercial kitchens in warehouse areas mostly) Then my co-worker suggested her neighbor, Chef Deb! The venue is a gorgeous private home (modern farmhouse) in a very nice neighborhood near downtown. The atmosphere is truly perfect. And the food? WOW. We felt like we were on the set of a cooking show!

Learned how to make fresh pasta with Chef Deb. She is a great teacher and instructor made the entire process look effortless. I booked this class for a date night with my girlfriend and it was a success! We had so much fun. The class was set up so that everyone was working around a kitchen island. We worked together to make a full 4 course meal. First we made a rustic pineapple salsa shrimp and street corn which we fire roasted over a flame. Then learned how to roast a perfect whole butterflied chicken and made the cutest personal sized churro cheesecakes. Learned how to use a springform pan and the value of parchment sheets. Because I am a vegetarian but my partner is not Chef Deb made modifications to the menu that allowed me to have a proper main course. Had such a great time and highly recommend this class.

I have worked with Deb for over twenty years. She has helped me immensely with planning menus and orchestrating events with my non-profit. She is an ultimate professional.

What a wonderful experience! Chef Deb was recommended to me by a mutual friend. I had never considered taking a cooking class before and it was everything we expected and some! My husband and I chose the “Al Fresco” dinner and were so glad we did. Chef Deb’s tartare made with pancetta and fresh figs from her yard was SO delicious and impressive we’ve made it several times since. We learned how to make homemade gnocchi in a brown butter sauce that was to die for. She was very knowledgeable about all the ingredients and shared her experiences in Italy and how it related to the preparation. Thanks to Chef Deb for a great evening at her beautiful house. My husband and I are certainly looking forward to another class!

It was great to be hands on during the cooking class and getting to enjoy what you have never made before.

My friends and I have taken a class with Deb during our Austin girl’s weekend trip every year for 6 years. We have made scratch Italian ragu, French desserts, homemade breads and many other cuisines. We always come away inspired! She offers valuable pointers in whatever we are creating. Very elegant meals are always made approachable with her. We have all gained confidence in the kitchen under her guided instruction. This year our class was out of her AMAZING “urban farmhouse” home in East Austin. I cannot recommend enough!
