Directions 3 steps | 25 Minutes

Step 1

Place an Instant Pot trivet in the bottom of the Instant Pot and add the water. Place the eggs on top of the trivet without touching each other and close the lid. Make sure the lid is set to sealing. Set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure and set the timer for 2 minutes. (See notes 2.)

Step 2

While the eggs are cooking, prepare an ice bath in a large bowl. When the timer goes off, let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, quick-release the pressure. Be careful not to stand over the cooker while the pressure is being released as the steam is very hot. Transfer the eggs immediately to the ice bath.

Step 3

Peel the eggs under cold running water for easier peeling. Serve seasoned with salt and pepper or as part of another recipe. Enjoy!

Notes:

  1. You can add more eggs to the pot, as long as they are not touching each other.
  2. This recipe works for standard large eggs. For larger or smaller eggs, the time may have to be adjusted.
