This omakase-style private chef experience celebrates the interactive Japanese dining tradition. Omakase translates to “I leave the details up to you,” highlighting the personalized nature of the meal.

Guided by guests’ tastes, Chef Alejandro showcases only the finest ingredients with expert finesse to craft a truly exquisite sushi feast. Your menu might include a refreshing seaweed salad, delicate ponzu bluefin tuna sashimi and signature temaki or hand-rolled sushi featuring premium ingredients like bluefin tuna, sweet water shrimp and even melt-in-your-mouth A5 Wagyu beef. Conclude your meal on a sweet note with a gourmet Japanese-inspired dessert.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to accompany the menu, and may request pairing recommendations from the chef upon booking.

Chef Alejandro is a sushi itamae bringing more than a decade of professional culinary experience to the table. Chef Alejandro first learned the Japanese art of sushi making in Venezuela. Fascinated by this multidisciplinary craft, he went on to study sushi making in three more countries before settling in the U.S. Today, Chef Alejandro can be found teaching sushi-making classes and hosting private events.

What a WONDERFUL experience. Chef Alejandro is such a good and patient teacher, teaches not just technique but respect for the process of creating sushi. I just loved his class, and the resulting sushi. Besides the teaching and learning, he also made the experience fun and memorable for our group. Our friends who live here in Chicago will be recommending this experience to others. What a lovely and memorable and yummy experience. HIGHLY recommend.

Highly recommend! We really enjoyed the experience Chef Alejandro provided. It was more than I could have ever imagined it would be. The food was amazing, and Alejandro was on time, professional, personable, neat and tidy! I will absolutely be using his services again in the future.

Thank you so much Chef Alejandro! The class was fun and informative, the ingredients were fresh, and the space was absolutely spotless. Chef did a fantastic job of teaching us and letting us venture out on our own. We will absolutely be trying something like this again, and I highly recommend Chef Alejandro!
