What You’ll Do

Learn how to recreate romantic, restaurant-quality dishes with Chef Marisa.

Do something different with your date and go out for an evening of not just enjoying gourmet food, but preparing it yourself. Chef Marisa trained in Florence and has worked in some of San Francisco’s top restaurants, and in this class she will share her tips and tricks for creating epicurean delights in your home.

The first course of the evening will be a delicate salad made with salt-roasted Bosc pears, perfectly paired with Roquefort cheese and a sweet candied walnut relish, resting on a bed of velvety butter lettuce. For your entree, Chef Marisa will teach you how to properly french a rack of lamb and crust it with black olive and rosemary. You’ll also prepare a creamy pistachio risotto with skillet greens, topped with a cider vinegar gastrique and crispy fried shallots. Dessert ends the meal with light and elegant roasted stone fruit crostatas with a dollop of homemade cinnamon sugar whipped cream.
