Interested in doing something different, my three friends and I booked Chef Reina’s traditional Filipino feast and had a beautiful time. I think I can safely say that we all enjoyed ourselves and were thoroughly entertained. We would enthusiastically recommend this class to anyone who wants to experience Filipino food and cooking. All of the food was tasty and easy to make. We started out with spring rolls (we also had lumpia that was already cooked) before moving onto adobo and pancit, which are very traditional Filipino meals. We could season and prepare the meals as much as we wanted, which was great since some of us live life a little more spicy. Instead of having the pink fruit salad for dessert, Chef Reina treated us with halo halo, which tastes like summer. Everything was easy to make, taught well, and tasted amazing--which says a lot since I hate cooking. Chef Reina deserves a million stars for her fun, jokey personality as well as how she engaged with each and every one of us, making the experience stand out even more than it already did. She genuinely seemed to care about us, talked with us about our lives for a long time after the class was over, and basically just made us feel like we were old friends or family sharing a meal. We’ll be back for the Thursday karaoke nights and the food whenever we’re hungry for Filipino food :)
