What You’ll Do

Join Chef Edmund for a meatless cooking class and culinary party celebrating the dumpling.

In this hands-on cooking class, you'll be guided in preparing classic dumplings and more from start to finish. Begin by exploring the essential element of umami with a selection of soy sauces from Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

Then, from kneading the dough to pleating the edges, you’ll prepare dumplings from scratch with a juicy, vegetable filling and a vibrant dipping sauce. Next, use your umami knowledge to beautifully braise tofu in soy sauce. Round out your dinner party feast with a traditional red bean dessert.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Eddie was a very patient teacher. His teaching style was approachable and friendly. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment from making the dough to enjoying the delicious dumplings at the end.

Chef Eddie was great. He was friendly & a good teacher. He engaged with all of the students and created a warm atmosphere. The food was delicious and he made sure that everyone left with new skills. I appreciated that he proved the value of good ingredients with a soy sauce taste test. Highly recommend!
