Such a fun night! Chef Eddie was an amazing teacher, giving detailed instructions plus individual feedback and recommendations to everyone who attended. He also taught us a ton about soy sauces and how to mix different ingredients together to make the perfect dumpling dipping sauce. And of course all the food was exceptionally delicious. We've already discussed looking for more Chef Eddie classes to attend in the future!

What a terrific experience this was. Eddie was outstanding. I'm a school leader, and I know a good teacher when I see one - Eddie is top notch. He gave clear, kind instructions. Everyone got better in a hurry, and we had fun along the way. He was so thoughtful in the construction of the experience over the course of the evening. Couldn't recommend this experience more highly!

10/10 this was an amazing class, and I strongly recommend it! Chef Eddie taught us how to prepare the dumpling dough from scratch. This consisted the kneading, the resting, the breaking off pieces, rolling them out, how to stuff and cook them. What I really appreciated what how creative he was in his teaching methods. For demonstration and practice, he had a rough practice dough for us to practice with while our dough was resting. He even had us practice pleating with Playdo, which I thought was brilliant! There was even a little camera to project what his fingers were doing onto a large TV, so that watch either the finesse of the fingers or the larger view. Chef Eddie also made sure to check in on how we were doing, and provided regular and frequent feedback so that we learned how to do everything correctly. And it worked - all the dumplings in our class survived! In addition, he also demonstrated how to braise pork belly (which was delicious), and how to prepare Tang Yuan as a rice-flour dessert variant of the dumpling. Chef Eddie had us try various soy sauces so that we could experience how they vary in flavor an quality, and also explained to us the stories and cultural significance of these dishes. I absolutely loved this class, and if any of my friends express curiosity in how to make dumplings I will immediately direct them to Chef Eddie. If I could take it again, I would!

Eddie was awesome. He’s an incredible teacher - went to great length to impart some really useful info, without being tedious. He was super engaging the whole time, had everyone making some exquisite looking dumplings by the end of the night, and his recipes were amazing! I can’t say enough good things. Definitely check him out.

This was such fun and delicious evening, the perfect antidote to Sunday scaries. It is truly an all-levels class. No prior dumpling skills required, but there's more to learn even for experienced Chinese food eaters/makers. I took this class with a friend, but it would be a great date night or work team-building activity. Chef Eddie makes this fun for everyone. As soon as I got home, I started looking for my next class with him.

We had such a great time making dumplings with Eddie! Neither of us had any prior experience and Eddie is a true master - the class is super fun and also super instructive. We just hosted a dumpling dinner party with our friends using Eddie’s recipe and everyone loved it!

We had a fantastic night making dumplings with Chef Eddie! Eddie was a great teacher and made the cooking experience personal to everyone there. He prepared a delicious pork belly and red bean dessert to go along with our own dumplings. We left feeling perfectly full and satisfied!

We had such a fun time at Chef Eddie’s dumpling class! My husband and I made dumplings from scratch for the first time, and Eddie was super encouraging, upbeat, and helpful the whole way through. The dumplings turned out delicious, and he even topped off the meal with his homemade braised pork belly and dessert—such a nice touch! The whole experience felt really homey and relaxed, with a small, intimate group that made it even better. Would definitely recommend for a date night, friend hangout, or even a team bonding activity. Can’t recommend this class enough!!!

We had a really great experience with Chef Eddie at the dumpling making class. Eddie was super friendly and a great host for the evening. We had a lot of fun making the dumplings and Eddie was awesome about coming around to help give each of us tips on our technique as we went. Getting a feel for what the wrappers should feel like and how to pleat them was essential and it made us feel ready to recreate the dumplings at home. The dumplings turned out delicious and the braised pork that Eddie made for us was also delicious. Would highly recommend this class to others!

This class was amazing! It was fun, engaging, and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to San Francisco so far. Chef Eddie was great. He was friendly & a good teacher. He engaged with all of the students and created a warm atmosphere. The food was delicious and he made sure that everyone left with new skills. I appreciated that he proved the value of good ingredients with a soy sauce taste test. Highly recommend!

Eddie was an exceptional teacher, host, dinner companion! I really enjoyed this class and it gave me the greatest impression of CozyMeal. There's some really exceptional cooks in San Francisco and it's such a special experience to be invited into their home and cook with them. I loved learning to prepare the dumpling dough, roll, and stuff them. It was also a treat to learn about soy sauces and get to eat his other delicious food. Thanks chef Eddie!

In decades of cooking, best class I’ve ever taken. Chef was truly skilled at teaching and explaining the nuances of dim sum in a warm, inviting and personal atmosphere. Highly recommend for special occasions and taking a deeper dive into this wonderful cuisine.

Chef Eddie is THE MAN! He is incredibly knowledgable, and takes the time to ensure that you (the student) absorb the techniques and information he’s delivering. He breaks down cooking into the art of combining 5 flavors rather than of following exact recipes, an incredibly refreshing and delicious take on how to operate your kitchen. Overall 10/10! Eddie is phenomenal! An amazing event and well worth every penny. Eddie is a great teacher - very helpful and kind. It’s apparent how much Eddie cares about not only putting on a great event, but also genuinely taking the time to teach in the group, along with spending time with each individual. Can’t say enough amazing things about Eddie and the experience - must attend! Also noteworthy to add that the food/ingredients were all top tier quality. Lastly, the atmosphere was stellar - very clean and welcoming. Great date night, too!
If you love eating dumplings, this is the class for you. Eddie takes you step by step in the journey to making delicious, mouthwateringly good dumplings. From the explaining how each ingredient and step of the process contributes to the flavor and texture of creating the dumpling to experimenting with combining ingredients to make your favorite dipping sauce. Eddie demystifies the entire process and provides constant hands on support and encouragement and is a fantastic and very passionate, energetic teacher and host. Take his class before the world discovers his talents, is offered his own cooking TV show, gets famous, and has to stop teaching this class.
Eddie is absolutely incredible. I booked five dumpling parties for a set of smaller group events on behalf of my company, and our employees had such a fabulous time. Eddie was kind, easy to work with, and communicative. Our company happened to be working through a backbreaking sprint at the time of these parties, and this experience was the respite that everyone needed (including myself!). I cannot say enough great things about Eddie and this experience. This experience worked well as a set of smaller group experiences for employees, but of course it would be incredible to do with friends and family. Thank you thank you thank you for taking such outstanding care of us Eddie! We appreciate you!
Eddie was absolutely fantastic! We had an incredible time learning how to properly make dumpling skins and then fill and fold them (turns out my sister is a pleating queen!). It was fun for the whole family and we were active and hands-on the whole class. We spent the rest of the day talking about how much fun we had and how perfect of an activity it was. My parents have been inspired to make their own dumplings from scratch :) Highly recommend if you're looking for something fun and interactive to do in SF - Eddie's the best!
Eddie was super great! He was a very patient teacher, and we left knowing exactly how to make dumplings from scratch! We also learned about taste at the beginning, which helped shape the rest of our experience! The food was so good, Eddie was very knowledgeable, and it was great to meet everyone else in the group! It was an excellent experience, and we'd do it again!
This was one of the best experiences I've had. Eddie was welcoming and friendly and worked with us patiently throughout the session. We learned a lot about his experiences and he was very prepared with the ingredients and additional dishes for all of us besides the dumplings we were making during the class. We had the full experience of making the dumplings and having a dinner party with the those and the rest of the dishes Eddie had for us. Eddie was very thoughtful and had a lot of great insights to tell us about food and otherwise. My friends and I really enjoyed it and I can't recommend this experience enough to others.

The materials he provided were top-notch, and the class was definitely worth the money. Eddie taught us a lot about dumplings, from making the wrappers from scratch to different pleating techniques. Eddie was energetic, patient, and extremely friendly! He is also an excellent teacher because he sprinkles in individualized, constructive feedback between hands-on demonstrations. He provides everything you need for the class. All you need to bring is enthusiasm and a desire to have fun! I learned about the process of making dumplings, how alterations at each step would change the final flavor profile, the differences in flavor between soy sauces, and so much more! Eddie’s personality was my favorite part of the class by far. I highly recommend taking this class if you can
Eddie did a phenomenal job hosting a private class for a work event. We were a pretty large group of 10 people and he was incredibly engaging, great at teaching, and made it a lot of fun. We did a BYOB and he's got all the glassware to accommodate this! Eddie gave a lot of great food context to what we're making so we understood the background, what we're tasting, and what to expect. I would highly recommend him for anyone or group that wants an all around incredible food experience!
We had our team outing yesterday with Eddie, and it was everything and more! Eddie’s hospitality and knowledge about everything we did was unmatched! The intimate setting along with him making sure to tend to each person was so nice! I feel like a dumpling pro now and everything was so tasty! It was truly such a wonderful experience. If you have any hesitation about taking Eddie’s class, trust me when I say you are missing out if you don’t! Since we had such a great time, now we are talking about trying out his pasta making class! Thank you so much Eddie!
