What You’ll Do

Master the art of crafting dumplings in this immersive lesson with Chef Edmund.

In this hands-on cooking class, you'll learn how to prepare dumplings by hand from wrappers and fillings to a variety of folding techniques. Begin with a blind tasting of soy sauces from across Asia to explore the essential element of umami, then apply your experience to a slow-cooked chicken braise.

Knead and roll out the dough for your dumpling skins, then practice pleating the edges around a juicy beef filling. Vibrant chili sauce, savory vegetables and a traditional red bean dessert round out this dinner party feast.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This class was amazing! It was fun, engaging, and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to San Francisco so far. Chef Edmund was such a great teacher, always providing encouraging feedback and instructions without any judgment. The soy sauce tasting was so insightful and really opened our eyes to what good quality ingredients can do to dish when added correctly.
