Five days of baking basics, kitchen etiquette and safety essentials for young chefs.
For young cooks eager to learn more about baking, this 5-day cooking series is an ideal session for discovering introductory-level methods and engaging in sweet, home-baked fun! This week-long session of summer cooking classes led by an expert instructor focuses on safety practices and easy-to-learn techniques that help aspiring chefs become capable bakers. They'll craft doughs, create hand-twisted pretzels, make fresh pizzas and more. To cap off the series, each chef will be presented with a printed menu of what they've made and a graduation certificate to show off!
Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes.В Parents do not stay during the classes.

The class was informative &’ I cannot wait to cook the recipe myself at home. The only thing I would change would be the large amount of other students in the class. It felt a bit rushed through. I was hoping for a bit more teacher/student learning experience, especially with all of the chopping that was needed. I am looking forward to taking more cooking classes, but I am not sure I’ll visit this place again.

Chef Michael emigrated to the U.S. from Romania with his family at the age of seven. He followed his family's culinary interests and found joy in the kitchen, with his grandmother and his parents leading the way. After working in various restaurants through high school and beyond, he developed a taste for finer cuisine. His resume grew to include event catering as well as teaching cooking classes, for which Chef Michael holds an abiding passion.
