What You’ll Do

Make your own lasagna with Chef Lena in San Jose!

Tired of frozen lasagna? In this Italian cooking class, Chef Lena will teach you how to prepare either a traditional or Tuscan lasagna. She'll kick off the event with antipasti that may include an assortment of cheese, marinated tomatoes, red roasted peppers, olives, or bruschetta. Then she'll walk you through building either the unconventional Tuscan lasagna with white sauce or your classic lasagna with tomato and cheese.

Dessert will be a beautifully crafted pound cake dipped in chocolate, topped with a chocolate-covered strawberry or another classic like a rich fudgy cake or a refreshing fruit tart. This class will leave you fully and happily fed, as well as knowledgeable about how to prepare this Italian meal for yourself!

Chef Lena began cooking in upstate New York at age 9. She followed her passion to California where she graduated from the French Culinary Institute in Campbell. Since cooking professionally, she has had the opportunity to create and cook for both business and personal events, with a vast array of clients including celebrities and authors. Her culinary experience has taken her from Pebble Beach and Florence, Italy to Costa Rica and New York. She is excited to share her culinary skills with you!

Lena was very nice. She took the time to explain everything and answer questions. Recommend her cooking classes to all foodies in San Jose specially anyone who loves steak.
