What You’ll Do

Enjoy a traditional meal from the bayou, with a nice kick of Cajun spices.

Lean into the heat of traditional Cajun cooking in this hands-on cooking experience with Chef Megan. Before preparing dishes, you will craft your own blend of spices, reflecting your heat preference, before making classic bayou-style recipes.

Start with local shrimp-stuffed eggplant complete with a crunchy top and blend of Cajun spices. Next, learn how to cook a Southern classic, BBQ shrimp and grits, with garlicky asparagus on the side, and another Cajun favorite: Banana pudding layered with cookies and pudding.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Megan was an absolute delight. The food was delicious. Moreover, it was really fun to work in the kitchen along side her. We learned better techniques for prepping and cooking above & beyond learning how to prepare the specific dishes of this meal. Chef Megan was fun and friendly and very encouraging.
