Cooking Class - Mexican Favorites With Vegan Flare

What You’ll Do

Take a trip across the border with popular favorites with a vegan twist.

Craft some of your favorite Mexican dishes using only vegan ingredients in this engaging cooking class. Chef Tina will teach you the tricks and techniques to create flavorful plant-based bites.

To start, you'll make spicy vegan queso made from cashews and poblanos and homemade chips to dip into it. Next, create crunchy origami tostadas from tortillas piled high with tempeh and avocado, and whip up a fresh cauliflower Spanish rice flavored with pico de gallo. Finish with a vegan spin on authentic Mexican flan: A perfectly creamy frozen flan cheesecake.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Tina (who is also an ND and PHD!) is an absolute gem. Her energy is warm, bubbly and soothing, making our hands-on cooking class so enjoyable. Tina put thought into the ingredients she selected, being mindful of our dietary needs and considering the produce that is in season.
