In this hands-on class with Chef Melissa, you will learn how to prepare a simple and sophisticated three-course Italian menu using time-honored Italian cooking techniques that yield incredible flavor profiles.

Some of the recipes and dishes you can look forward to adding to your culinary repertoire in this class include a garlicky and lemony shrimp scampi crostini appetizer featuring an herbaceous homemade gremolata, a vibrant homemade pesto pasta with beautifully blistered tomatoes for your entrГ©e, and classic Italian biscotti that would make any Nonna proud.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I recently enjoyed a lunch cooked by Chef Melissa and it was yummy, flavorful and healthy. After my well prepared meal of vegetable stew highlighting seasonal zucchini, farro arugula salad and fresh fruit chia pudding, I was happy and satisfied without feeling heavy. As a person she is engaging in a calm and friendly way and creative with food in ways that you will appreciate. My stomach and I look forward to another meal!

Working with Melissa has been life-changing! After a series of attempts to improve my abysmal cooking skills from taking watch-and-learn cooking classes, to YouTube, and “recommended” cookbooks, I started working with Melissa and finally have confidence to cook for other people. She has taught me basic cooking skills from more efficient knife skills and how to organize my fridge, to making healthy family-friendly meals. In one three hour lesson she works with the tools I have in my kitchen to make at least five dishes that I can replicate on my own and feed us for days. Although Melissa has deep experience in the food industry, there is no snobbery or judgement. Lessons are fun, efficient, and reflective of what I need with very little stress on my part. Whatever your dietary needs, Melissa can help you expand your reprotoire. Desserts, main dishes, and appetizers, ethnic, American, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free...we have covered all this and the food is affordable and DELICIOUS. You won’t want to eat out after cooking with Melissa.
