What You’ll Do

Discover the more refined, sophisticated side of rustic American comfort food in this culinary experience.

In this hands-on class with Chef Larry, you will learn the skills, techniques, and recipes needed to prepare a four-course classic American comfort food menu with a fun modern twist.

You will begin by bringing Waldorf salad back in style and dressing it up with a homemade green goddess dressing. Then, you will learn how to brew a batch of sweet and spicy coconut butternut squash soup with chorizo, and finger-licking gluten-free buttermilk fried chicken. Lastly, you'll end by making your own marshmallows for your colorful cloud of ambrosia.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Larry's Bistecca Alla Fiorentina might be the best thing I've ever tasted. He served this "family style," cut into strips on an oversized wooden cutting board with a dollop of homemade butter he made while casually carrying on a conversation. The Seared Day Boat Scallops were vibrant, spicy, and delicious. A nice twist on a traditional seafood dish. His food was bold, elevated, and fun. I would highly recommend Chef Larry for a warm and contemporary experience with food.
