Chef Motoko was incredibly informative and friendly. She definitely knows her sushi and has the right mindset for cooking. She grows some of her own ingredients, has a published sushi book, runs a blog and genuinely believes in healthy eating. She was also able to accommodate our eating preferences which really made us happy. I would definitely recommend.

Chef Motoko was wonderful. She brought ingredients from her own garden, explained where everything came from, taught us to make everything, and it was delicious!

Chef Motoko was very nice and we had a lovely evening. I was a little surprised that we didn't learn to roll sushi and just made messy-looking seaweed wraps in our hands.

Chef Motoko's rice was perfectly seasoned--I had not tried brown sushi rice before and could not get enough! I enjoyed the practical and healthy adaptations to her traditional fare, and her warmth and eagerness to share her knowledge in the kitchen was delightful.

Chef Motoko prepared a delicious and healthy Japanese lunch for us. She sourced many of the incredibly fresh ingredients for the meal from her own garden. A few of the ingredients I had never tasted before and we loved the flavors. Chef Motoko helped teach us how to make a simple and flavorful sushi bowl as well as a very unique miso soup both of which I can’t wait to make at home. I really liked Chef Motoko who was personable with a homespun style of instruction that was very easy to understand.
