Cooking Class - Japanese Pancakes and Stir Fry

What You’ll Do

Learn how to prepare an authentic Japanese-style pancake with Chef Motoko.

Chef Motoko will introduce you to a delightful dish, known as okonomiyaki, that will wow your senses.

In this class, you will learn all about an extraordinary pancake. The okonomiyaki is a traditional Japanese-style pancake that you will be creating! Under the guidance of Chef Motoko, you will make this fabulously aromatic and savory pancake. Classic Japanese ingredients you will be incorporating include cabbage, eggs, dried shrimp and pork, and a sauce made with traditional bonito flakes. You'll also learn how to create the perfect stir fry and agar agar made with green tea.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Motoko was great! She was instructive, brought fresh materials from her own garden and introduced us to them, and was an all-around lovely person. The food was delicious too!
