My food is rich with approachable flavors that your family and friends will be impressed with but that they'll feel good eating. Gluten free pastas, local, organic, sustainable food is what I'm passionate about.

Chef Kari is real down-home cooking in all the best ways: yummy, approachable, and delicious. She is a real chef--she's on top of everything in the kitchen and can teach anyone a whole lot. I really enjoyed my time with her and eating the dishes was the best part! Wonderful class, I'd take class after class from her any day.

Kari created a fabulous dinner for a special birthday party. There were 14 people. She was totally prepared, arrived early and handled the whole evening so smoothly. The food was delicious and our guests keep talking about the evening. We highly recommend Kari. From start to finish she was easy to work with and created a memorable evening.

We hired Kari to prepare a special meal in our Point Loma home for a party of nine guests last night. We were so extremely impressed with the food (divine!) and ease of planning that we had to share! Kari is very professional, punctual, organized, easy to communicate with, and most importantly, makes amazing food. She is experienced and has worked locally for years with one of San Diego's most successful chefs/restauranteur. She charged per hour for her time spent shopping, prepping, cooking, and cleaning (in our case it was a total of 4 hrs), plus the cost of food. We highly recommend Chef Kari if you are considering hiring a private chef for a small or large party. She was truly a delight to deal with and everyone LOVED the food she thoughtfully prepared.
